So, I had a spontaneous outing last night. Went out for a scrumtious Korean steamboat buffet and had a chill out session at The Loof. I hung out with people I met for the first time in my life. Maybe I can call them strangers, but not just any strangers. They're strangers from a strange land. I am please to introduce you to them...

My sucky moment.

I've only been in the company for 3 months and tomorrow I have an appraisal session with my manager. Yes. That dreaded word... that thing I sucked at all my life. APPRAISAL!

One of the required information they need is my Business Unit and Department. Ack! FAIL! I don't even know where I belong here. Haha!

I'm stumped. I have no idea how to fill them up. The killer questions I think so far are...

What do you consider to be your most important task(s) in the next year?
All my task are important... probably my most important task is to keep my job.

What action could be taken to improve your performance in your current position by you, and your boss?
Hopefully this appraisal might help me, somehow...

List the objectives you set out to achieve in the past 6 months.
I'm still working on achieving my given objectives ever since I start here.

Hips don't lie, they gyrate...

Welcome to my humble domain. No I am not dead yet. I am still alive and gyrating. Yes, you heard me, I'm happy.

I appreciate small little things in my life now called simplicity. I've focusing on ME, ME and ME for a month or so and I can safely say it now, I'm well rested. Work hasn't been that much of a drudgery. Its kinda fun now. I have colleagues who look forward to lunch hour, tea break, 6.30pm just so that they could hang out with me or something like that.

That's one motivation I can live with. But of course, I will never forget a little something called ME. So what if I'm nearing my quarter life crisis. I know a lot of people have shown symptoms of QLC, and kicking themselves in the butt to make them feel better. I'd say, BRING IT ON!

I am pretty concern with my first impression towards others. Do I appear confident, snobbish or conservative? My manager till now kept telling everyone how she was deceived by me when she met me the first time. She perceived me as someone really decent, responsible and sweet. But within a week or so she changed her mind. She called me wild, havoc and head strong.

No, she does not hate me now. Apparently being such, I am well-liked by her. In fact she love me so much she had been inviting me to so many parties which I had to nicely decline since I'm embracing simplicity for a while. If she can't party with around the booze, she'd party with me anywhere she feels like it now.

She has this habit of spanking me and hugging in front of my peers. They looked at us in disbelieve. I guessed they hadn't seen her behaving in such a way but why is she like that now? What have I done? Is she deprived of fun in the office that she had to use me as her muse?

Hey.. I'm not complaining. She had been nothing but a role model to me at work. I have a very high chance of getting my ass permanently in this company if I keep up my battle here. She has already made arrangement for me to get boxes of namecards! That's my reward for getting my ass bruised from her spanking. I'm not complaining...

Damn World Cup!

I am so freakin' pissed at human race. Oh no, soccer fans to be precise. Now I know why the stock market worsened once every 4 years in June. All because of the World Cup. Stoopid soccer. Its a stoopid game!

Here I am slugging in the office rushing my work, trying to meet dateline and there you are, my dear clients, happily sleeping in your couch in front of the telly after catching a soccer match at 4am whatever! Soccer comes first... work? Oh... what was that word? Work? Never heard of that word before... hmmm...

Ok, this whole week, out of 10 emails I sent, 7 was set on auto-reply telling me that they'll be out of the office till like the end of the month! Arrghhh!! Like HELLO! Life still goes on, ok!

Ah... can't blame them. Maybe the company paid them too much. Too much money that they can afford to buy the latest HDTV, subscribed to the premium soccer channels, able to purchase a car and make their way down to the supermarket to buy crates of beers to down everytime the referee blows the whistle!

If our magazine don't get published on time, it ain't my fault.

Betcha By Golly Wow!

How's my weekend? Hmm... I'd say fruitful. I spend both days on my bed, infront of the telly and of course infront of my flatscreen monitor playing sims 2. I played till I can't play no more which fortunately I've not reach that stage yet. People are sick of MSN-ing me at home to chat and I told them I'm busy sim-ing. Hahaha... sorry peeps... this girl got a 'life' to control. *LOL*

I have a story to tell. Something happened on friday during my lunch hour. A few of us were chatting after a hearty meal and I had a craving to eat goreng pisang (banana fritters). Raj pointed that one of the corner shop sells the best goreng pisang but he's snobby and will never give you discount if his life depends on it.

So they relate to me a few incidents and dared me to go buy my goreng pisang and ask for discount. I got up, went up to the uncle and...

ME: Uncle how much for 1 goreng pisang?
UNCLE: 50 cents.
ME: If I buy 3, $1 can?
UNCLE: Eh, you never go to school ah? If you buy 3 its $1.50 lah!
ME: Who knows got discount.
UNCLE: (This is the part where he lectured me about his high quality goods incomparable elsewhere)
I passed him $2 note for 2 goreng pisang and waited for him to return my change while he's still lecturing me. As he went on and on about his business, he handed me a 50cents coin.
ME: Uncle, If I buy 2 goreng pisang, it'll be a dollar.
UNCLE: Oops sorry.
ME: See lah, ask you to go to school dowan!

I walked away as I left him dumbfounded. I got a mental applause from my colleagues sitting by watching intently at the 'mini drama' I sketched. My goreng pisang had never tasted so good!

Oh by the way, SOUL PLANE is awesome!

Hey! I got a new renter!

Please, everybody, give a warm, bloggy welcome to Tracey! She's from Australia but residing in Netherlands now with her 7 year old kid, Alia. How I envy her! Wish I could be a Singaporean living in Miami, Florida or something. Oh, her best friend is there now! Hmmph! Oh did I mention she used to stay in Belgium! Go find out which other countries she had ever called home. Trust me, this is not the end for her.

One thing I notice is that she makes jewellery. Boy are you gonna be a hit with most of my friends here. Some of them are nuts about these stuff. My favourite have to be one she 'copied' from a wedding necklace but I'm pretty sure I'd prefer it to be a bracelet. Pretty... vair pretty!

Give her a shoutout guys! She deserve it...!
