Annual Report 2007
Well, if you had forgotten, I had scrapped the idea of having resolutions since last year. Mainly due to the fact that I never fulfiled them and I tend to not care about them at all. But I did mention I wanted to pick up a new skill. Well...
I guess I did tried to do better in life and work. I remember having all this self-realisation, self-discover shitzz for a couple of months. I blame it on my quarter life crisis. For once I notice how much I've grown and I've also realised how precious time is. Charly, the french fry, came down to Singapore again for his internship. I wished I had spent more time with him but I didn't. He was here for like 6mths and I met him like 2-3 times? pathetic eh? But that's more frequent than I meet my own folks, so... Lindsay came and I met up with her for that one day... just one day! I will do better for your 2008 trip, I promise! I met so many new people... like SO MANY! I made myself sit down and listen to them to really get to know them better before passing off judgement. Yeah, a whole different Fida coming your way. I'm still the same person really, just takes a much longer time to unleash the negativity now. Haha! Am I happier now? I guess you can say so. But deep inside there's a tinge of sadness in me for the fact that I wish I could meet up with my present, long-time-no-see friends again to catch up on old times. Just having you in my phonebook is not enough... unless I've chosen to avoid you already? Muahaha! Let's talk about vacations. I went to Phuket, Bangkok, Bintan and JB. That's like using my passport for 4 times! Like woah~ This has to be some kind of a record! Usually I travel like twice max. Pricely possession of this year includes:
I almost lost my PC but a good friend told me he'll fix it at no cost... just a Burger King meal! That was a close call but I'm glad he manage to salvage everything back. I have no clue what I'll do if I loose all the data inside! I should now consider investing in a Hard Disk Drive to backup all my data! I did blogathon again this year and once again, I fell asleep for a bit. It was a lot more organised this year as I've had previous experiences. Haha. I didn't raise that much money but I'm glad I did my part to help the less fortunate. Should I look forward to Blogathon 2008? Meh... we'll see about that. It kinda gets a tad too old... we need fresh ideas people! As I mentioned I won't be setting resolutions but on the other hand, I started new projects/hobbies.
So what's gonna happen in 2008? Settle down? Hmmm.... Labels: blog, food, friends, happiness, money, rant, relationship, shopping, singapore, travel, whatever, work

7.5 hr : Photo updates
I spent the last few hours uploading these pics cos each one of them is like 1mb in size. So the boyfriend and I caught The Simpsons Movie and its awesome. We kept laughing our socks off (yes we both wore socks at the time). Its a must see movie for everyone! We finally get to eat at Marche, Vivocity branch since it had opened late last year. We were there just before dinner time so there really isn't any crowd. Click here to see them all! Labels: blogathon07, food, happiness, movies

I am a vegetarian
You believed that? I totally crossed my fingers when I said that. I tried, I really did. It doesn't help that I can't stand vegetables. On friday the whole department lunched out, vegetarian style @ some chinese buffet restaurant and they only serve vegetarian dishes. I wasn't looking forward to it at all and already scanning through other shops in case I'm still hungry from not eating anything. A colleague told me on the way to that place that the more you eat (vegetarian food) the hungrier you will get. At that point it makes total sense as I don't consider vegetables as food, really! Since I don't eat vegetables, I whacked on stuff like mushrooms (of many kinds), baby corns, corns, pineapples and dessert was alright - I had mango pudding and some custard roll thingy. I realised I had overfed myself with non-food the moment I got up from the seat. I was tucking my tummy in for a good 20mins as not to be mistaken as a 4mth preggo girl. Throughout the journey back I was forcing myself to burp - so did everyone else in the car (windows rolled down, by the way). Of course, at that state, no one felt like working. Battling with the eyelids and a massive tummy just took a lot outta you. Unfortunately for me, I was *shrugs* Maybe I'm not meant to be a vegetarian. I love meat too much... and why do vegetarian have mock meat? Isn't that cheating of sort? People, I am right on top of the food chain and I'm VERY happy there. - Will HAIKU for sponsors -

Did you see that?
I left my house at 11am in hope to get a taste of the goodies from Donut Factory. Shops are usually open around 11am and by the time I reach there I was so damn sure there will be no queue. None of my friends had ever gotten the chance to try the donut due to the large crowd awaiting outside the store but they highly recommended it (clueless as to how they know its good). The one they recommended in Vivocity (Vinco) is far less beyond my expectation. Their donuts sucks! Anyway, I was confident that I could be the first one to try this Donut Factory! Fahmy texted me when I was on my way there: "Are you sure you want to queue?". Pretty dumb question since I'm not even there yet. Went down to the basement and cheerfully browsed the directory trying to locate the store when Fahmy pointed to me in a direction which looks like one where a Singaporean lined up to get freebies. To my horror the queue was split into 3! I bet these people started queueing even before the store had opened! Fahmy: Do you want to queue? Fida: Fuck it and lets watch a movie. So we headed to Great World City and bought tickets to see Fracture. Ryan Gosling... mmm... I thought he was hotter in Hercules. Its a good movie I'd give it a 7/10. The ending could have been better. I liked it, Fahmy liked it. So I guess its money well spent. We spend the whole of my Saturday talking, laughing, hugging, eating, drinking... just plain norm fun. Its been a VERY long time since I spent more than 10 solid hours with him. Any idea when is the screening for that Simpsons movie? The donuts shown in the trailer looks really yummy! Addicted to interruptions
**WARNING** Lengthy update in this entry. So Lindsay was in town and we met up only once during her 2 weeks trip here. Unfortunately our schedule clash pretty badly. Suppose to see her off yesterday but I was caught up in something else and wouldn't be able to make it to the airport in time, unless I take the cab of course, which will cost me a hell lot more for the extra airport surcharge blah blah. So sorry Linz! I really want to be there. Maybe not really for you but for Popeye! I miss those damn chickies! So the one and only time we met I had to drag her all the way out of town and in Toa Payoh Hub... feelin' heartlanders. I was already there during lunch hour with Clifford who wouldn't budge, refusing to go back to work. Haqiim and Lindsay join us an hour later and we continued to hung out there while waiting for Lianne to arrive. Clifford eventually made his exit, of course. Oh yes, why are we there, of all places? Well, my colleague gave me 4 tickets to catch live show of Dancefloor (reality show alike 'So You Think You Can Dance'). It blows! But we had fun comparing the place from what it had looked like many years ago when I was very active in making my trips to Mediacorp. Anyway its a short cab journey and the fare was on Haqiim. So what the heck! After wasting 2 hours (or 3 maybe?) watching something I swear I will never watch again ever, we rode the bus all the way to Harbourfront, since my friends doesn't know how to go home from that place. Lindsay, Haqiim and myself took the North East Line to Clarke Quay to 'escort' Lindsay to be reunited with her friend. Apparently Singapore already seemed foreign to her. I also met up with Charly a few days later for dinner. It was nice. He's still the same old Charly. I wish him the best for his intership here and pray he will not come back. Too many annoying people in my life already, I can do without this one. Hehe... va te faire foutre!! The company organised a chinese new year dinner held 5 mins (on foot) away from my place. The last time I was in that building was when I was still in Kindergarten... one of those mini-concerts the kids put up to make our parents clap, smile and be proud of what their kids had learnt from the school. It had changed sooooo much (like DOH!) from being just a multi purpose hall to a chinese restaurant... I think its a restaurant. Food was served pretty late and I filled my very empty stomach with beer... cold beer. It kinda spoil the whole night cos' after that I felt really horrible. Went to the ladies and vomitted... beer. Just beer. Awesome part of the night was the lucky draw. Everyone walked away with something. No one left the place empty handed, unless they had forgotten to take the prize back with them. I won a bluetooth headset which I don't really need and exchanged it with a Microsoft webcam. At that point I had aspired to be like the red paper clip fella who exchange something worthless until he got himself a house. I exchanged a $30-40 bluetooth headset with a $160 webcam. I went round the room to change with other expensive items and got turned down... hard. I even use the excuse of my new aspiration but to no avail. Damn it! I was aiming that 20 inch LCD monitor! Walked home slowly while hugging my new webcam and the moment I reach home, I was... erm... crazy enough to start installing it while being irritated by the spinning room. It worked fine. Much better than my previous one. See my new webcam shot on your right. So now my old webcam is up for loan... till I broke my new one. Any takers? Haha! And today... Santa dropped by and look what he had left me! ![]() Droolz!~~~ That's it! My weekend is fully booked! No update till my review is out! Labels: food, friends, singapore, work

Weekly Update
Yeah, I'm late like that but whatever. Its my blog and I'll update whenever I want to. Last friday my company had a sponsored tea time in our lounge area and since I got crap to do before my weekend starts I had a quick trip over to the buffett table only to steal these... ![]() Yeah drool away my friends! Right after that my MD called me out for a little chat. He asked how was my teabreak and I can't help but to shower him with praises for agreeing to organise such stuff. Little did I realise I don't think thats why he asked me out. Later we sat near the pantry and he whipped out a report and showed me all the clients that we've dealt with for the past 3 months. I just went along not knowing what he wants. After he's done explaining the report to me I was like "Darn, bribing me with awesome sinful stuff to make me do stuff for him!". Then he whip out a file and showed me a cheque of value $(bleep). My eyes lit up (like DOH!) and I waited for him to explain what the cheque is for. "This is your commission plus half of it is advance for clients who have not cleared their invoice yet. We're doing this quarterly so if you want your money, ensure client make their payment on time." He prompted if I've got anything to ask him and I went like "erm... why aren't this made monthly?" which he shot me with "You want me to die is it!?" Hehe... he's a funny man :) ![]() Ah yes, How could we start the year without celebrating this asshole's birthday. We went for a 'big' feast @ Beach Road. No photos cos' all of us got our hand dirtied with red stuff all over. After which we head downtown for a gaming session @ Minds Cafe. We all had a blast! Especially that asshole since we gave him, I think, a wonderful gift after last year's. Hope he will wear it like everyday... till next year! Pre-Christmas
[edit]Just to let you guys know I'm having a supder duper long weekend. I'm on MC for tuesday and wednesday and am clearing my leave on thursday and friday. Dun be hatin'![/edit] Stuff happened before christmas and I've neglected to update about it. Why? Cos' its like a brand new habit I picked up from some people in my blogroll. Its contagious! Its deadly! Run people run!! There's one Sunday, Fahmy and I met up and picked up the courage to try the all new junk food eateries, Superdogs. Not as super as I had thought it would have been in my head, but its alright. Chilli cheese dogs... nay! And then this super couple met up again on another weekend, the eve of xmas eve, and end up in a place we both had enjoyed, a year ago with a few others who had just explored it for the first time. #1 Nite Stand had the best live band I've seen, Six In The City, but the crowd wasn't too favorable. So we left only to find ourselves in Ministry of Sound... sheesh. Sorry, no photos from in there, too lazy! Still not quite gotten rid of my hangover, I flagged a cab and off we go to Aisha's place to celebrate her daughter's birthday. A house full of kids... good times! Anyways, here's some graphics containing stuff I've gotten during the festive season. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmm... that means I still owe them presents, YIKES! I dedicate this song to them then... HAHA! Hey, Xmas song ok! Good one also, kinda appropriate if you read the lyrics below *LOL*... enjoy! And a belated MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Oi! Oi! Haji was a punk just like any other boy And he never had no trouble until he started up his Oi band, safe in the garage or singing in the tub. Till Haji went to far and he plugged in at the pub Twas a cold Christmas eve when Trevor and the skins popped in for a pint and to nick a bag of crisps Trevor liked the music but not the Unity He unwound Haji's turban and knocked him to his knees If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" Haji was a bloody mess, he ran out thru the crowd he said "we'll meet again we are bloody yet unbowed" Trevor called his bluff and told him where to meet Christmas day on the roof down at 20 Oxford street If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" On the roof with the nun chucks Trevor broke a lot of bones But Haji had a sword like that guy on Indiana Jones Police sirens wailing, a bloody dying man, Haji was alone and abandoned by his band Trevor was there fading and still so full of hate when the skins left him there and went down the fire escape Oi Oi Then then Haji saw the north star shining more then ever So he made a tourniquet from his turban saving Trevor the repelled down the roof with the rest of the turban and went back to the pub where they bought each other bourbon If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" A whole lotta proper updates
There's this one day Fahmy and I met on a weekend to spend time together at Vivocity and everywhere else around that area. We had too much fun that the idea of waiting for our dinner to arrive is just too much of precious time to waste just sitting there and wondering when will the plates be delivered to your table. A few days later, on night, on my off day, Clifford invited me to some party at MOS. I think it had something to do with MTV and some watches. I should really start disciplining myself to update soon enuff before I forget the details. ![]() Then over the weekend I met up wit my long-time-no-see auntie Naura *hehehe*. She has a new toy and she ain't afraid to show it off. Look at the size of that thang!!But than that monster toy of hers' battery went kapoot within minutes after we started playing with it. Its a very complicated toy to play with in my opinion but she seems to know what she's doing. We also raid the flea market nearby and got some good buys. Bags mostly, good price for a second hand product. That auntie of mine nabbed like FIVE at one go while I only managed to land my heart for two. Must shop there again... and again... and again. Addicted I am now, thanks to that auntie! Another good day after work, we headed towards the east for a scrumptious dinner in honor of Clifford and Carol's old aged day. Haha... I love celebrating other people's birthday. Its soooo much more fun than celebrating your own. ![]() The day after I met up with the one and only idiot cousin of mine for he owes me 1 out of many dinner treats and to the changi airport we go for my well deserved Popeyes! Last night I went for the loooong awaited swim with Hazel and boy did that scare the shit outta ma muscles! We did 20laps which I had not done for a very long time and it was my first time attempting it with Hazel. Twas fun... Twas good... Twas tummy rumbling. So off to McDonalds we go! Bitching session commenced at 2145h and went on till almost 0000h. Twas fun... Twas informative... Twas fierce! As usual, click the photos to view the rest. My very productive weekend
Saturday I woke up very early for a breakfast appointment. Yes, you heard me, breakfast! Hazel and Michelle picked up the-very-late me at Kovan Station for a quick drive to Cafe Cartel @ Serangoon Gardens. Nice atmosphere... I never knew there are 'morning' people around. So breakfast went great, we sorta celebrated Irene's birthday, good food, first time I ate waffles... they're really gooooood! 2 thumbs up from me! Sunday I fully spent with my one and only other half. We had a scrumptious lunch/dinner @ Jacks Place. Its been a loooooooong time since I had my meat there. I ordered lamb chops and apart from that we had the seafood salad, sorry, heeyoooge bowl of seafood salad, sautee mushrooms and of course my part-time lover otherwise known as lobster bisque soup. We hung out for a few hourse before I suggested having dessert at Coffee Club. Hehe... right after a plate of Mudpie and Chocolate Enchantment, we're done for the day. Can barely move no more and the cabbies ain't stopping for us... *growl* So that pretty much sums up my weekend. Its kinda tiring, but in a good way. I want it to repeat itself every week... I'm loving it! Labels: food, relationship, work
New York New York
Ok I am asked to post these photos up so that the whole of Singapore can boycott against it. The restaurant called New York New York and the pic owner didn't really tell me where it is at. But I can assure you its in Singapore. ![]() Apparently they will make you queue for hours if they know that the rest of your friend hadn't arrive yet without informing you. And you'll only realise so when you reach the front of the queue when the the signboard below stared ferociously at you. ![]() Lesson learnt, do not go to this restaurant, or, you can make sure you arrive with all the intended party then queue up, or, tell your friends to not make you wait for hours. There... *shrugs*

Like a pimple you can't squeeze
I know I wanted to go on hiatus *glares at Kate* but in the end I sprung back up, like the trooper I've always been, and... well... blog. I have a few reasons why I wanted to and both didn't really work out. I had prepared a new layout for my website. Its gonna be all white... and pink. Hehe... something different. Its not quite ready yet... it can take me ages to 'approve' a new layout. So, hang in there. I'm still here, unfortunately. Anyway, photo updates! These were taken last Saturday when the 3 of us met up for dinner at The Village (pronounced as vee laa jay), which had replaced my darling Marche. Thank God everything, apart from the logo and uniform, looked exactly the way it is. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And this is Clifford happily settling himself behind me ![]() And I have learn to adapt cos' one day he came to the office armed with this ![]() Labels: blog, food, friends, work

Tee-hee, here I go!
I am so dreading to blog right now cos I've not been updating for quite a while and I have a lot to say about them. Well, here goes nothing... My last day in SSC It was raining and I came to work in the afternoon to clear my half day leave. One thing for sure. I am God damn glad I had packed my stuff slowly for the past few days. I was very satisfied with the state I left my workstation for the next person to take over. Its not 100% clean, but its good enough a condition for a human to 'live' there. Not many peeps knew 22nd March 2006 is my last day of work so by going around the office with a camera sure do give them a shock. It beats me telling them myself. I mean, why should I advertise my last day? If you wanna know, you should have asked me personally, right? Anyway took some pictures, unfortunately a lot of people were not in the office that day, so too bad, it rained heavily, bade farewells and off I went with my ex-boss and ex-supervisor to a place unknown to me. He wanted to give us both a treat for his promotion and our resignation and he brought us to his brother's pub near Marine Parade/East Coast. Nice place, forgot the name, delicious food and yes, we drank. Its a good think he made me drink. I can say whatever I want without feeling the guilt or embarassment. I had to admit but I was having a good time with him. Not gonna miss it though... 1st day of unemployment I did not wake up late. Its like my body had been permanently set to wake up at a certain time. I could go back to sleep but I had an appointment with Haqiim. We met at Coffee Bean, Boat Quay in the afternoon and dear sir asked me a very STOOPID question. Haqiim: Just the two of us? Fida: How many others do you know is not working right now? DOH! The long awaited event On friday we had arranged for a very important person to attend a very "grand" party organised by a couple of us to celebrate the last few moments before she gets deflowered! Yup, its Salyza's bachelorette party @ Merchant Court Hotel/MOS. Apologies for lack of photos thanks to Fidzah who's so God damn slow and also my apologies for lack of details cos we had a pact not to kiss and tell ;P I will probably post up some selected, harmless photos here but not now. The day after... Went to one of my favourite pub, 1 Nite Stand to enjoy good music, good crowd and awesome booze. Just a simple drinking session for no specific reason. Right at this point I am very aware there's too much blood in my alcohol system, yeah... The 1st day of my new job It was alright, my workstation is quite messy, although pretty much bare. The colleagues are alright too. The best part of the job was to know that everybody sort of need to have their MSN activated for easy communication. We use it even though the person we're communicating to is sitting in the same office as you. Cool ain't it? Work load is pretty much bearable and I'm yet to receive more responsibilities from the manager. I'm slowly reorganising things around my desk and of course the work itself since I am the new girl who has to start something afresh here with a new system implemented by the manager recently. I feel really good about this place, although I am still in search of a smoking partner, otherwise, everything else is alright! They told me in Aug/Sep this year, the whole company will be having a retreat but no idea where. Can't wait! Before I pen off... Will update you more about my work and of course hoping that somebody will not take their own sweet time with the photos! Till then, muacks! Labels: food, friends, nightlife, party, rant, work

Yeah, I wanna update!
So on Sunday I met Rizal after 7pm and head east to the airport. Its been a while since I had Popeye. I (heart) Popeye! That jack ass is so into his boxing thingy till that is all he had to talk about, really. I dunno what's getting into him but I pray he will be able to locate the missing screw from his head. I was on course for 2 days at IBMEC (in Starhub Building) and class ends around 5pm. On tuesday Lianne and myself manage to reach the pool early and we almost had the pool to ourselves. I'm kinda worried this is like one of the rare occassions I am able to swim early and the pool being that empty. So the last time we swam we did like 20 laps and this time round we shocked the hell out of the dead by doing 26 laps! Yippeeee!! Met Fahmy yesterday after my class and we had dinner at Billy Bombers. I love the food there. The generous portions attracts me. The restaurant was playing like the 60's hits and I was wondering why did people of this era could revive the 70's but not the 60's? It'll be pretty cool... until Fahmy invented the straw dance! I'm going swimming again tonight... 30 laps? Hmmm..... Labels: family, fitness, food, funny, happiness

The right kind of wrong
So, last night, went for a swim, with my girl, Lianne. We spent like 15 minutes cursing at the side while glaring at the kids having their swimming lessons. I mean, they should stick to some kind of a special lane like that of the parking lots, you know, for the disabled, and like that of those in the MRT, seats for the elderly and needy? We gave up and prayed that the lessons will end about 7.30pm. We carried on swimming and aimed to complete 20 laps at least. We were too over enthusiastic in the beginning and got tired pretty fast. So we motivated ourselves by taking it easy... really easy. It worked! In no time at all we completed our 20 laps! Hahaa... I can feel my ass tightens, my shoulder broaden and definitely a few inches off, somewhere... So what happened after you swim? Go home? Sleep? No... do it our way ![]() ![]() ...Chocolate Ice Kachang... *sings* Baby that's the right kind of wrong... Labels: fitness, food, friends

"Lindsay's in town"
Last night was chaotic! The ladies met up at Billy Bombers, Heeren at staggered timing. Kinda impress that inspite of everyone's "punctuality", we all manage to finish gobbling about the same time. Dinner was great. Everybody, lemme quote Lianne, "under estimated their appetite". And yes, there were plenty of "misused" air-quotes (the one where you made ".." with your fingers). So bad that we started using it in everyone of our sentences. The "laughing" did us all good. It works the tummy muscle, you know. Appetiser includes bitching about the latecomers, latecomers strolling in unnoticed and stuffing our face with Nachos. Main course was a delightful session of gossiping, more bitching and random "horror" stories. Click the photo to see the "mayhem" we had last night ![]() Before going home, I walked to SMU with Lianne cos she wanted to pick up her stuff from her locker. It was a good walk plus I get a mini tour of SMU. That place is a "take-student's-money" corporation! I feel sad for the students there. Eventhough its past 11pm, I still see a few of them hanging around there like they've got no life. No puns intended ya Li-En! Hehehe... you HAVE a life... no worries. I might consider playing Warcraft one day... seriously, you do have a life! Hahaha... I'm "kidding". Damn, the unnecessary quoting has to end! Somebody "STOP" me!

Ta-da!!
*Bimbo Mode ON* Can't type too much cos' I just painted my nails and it's still not fully dried yet. Scared ah! Wait must repaint how? *Bimbo Mode OFF* Hehe, met Rizal for lunch and we shared a plate of Indian Fried noodle. Actually I ate most of it cos he's on a 'diet'. He will say that he's full/not hungry but true fact is that he wants to shed a few more kilos and declare himself a hunk. *PFFFT* You'll disappear if you don't eat like you do last time OK! Head up to town and start my long awaited/deserved shopping spree. CK Tang is the place to go in December. Especially if you wanna buy perfume, here's a hint. Always show them the sad face like this :( hinting to them that their packages are not attractive enuff. Watch them whip out miniatures after miniatures! MAC was too crowded today. No salesgirl were available to entertain me. I don't like being un-entertained in MAC. That's the place I would go to get, sort of, free beauty tips. MAC staff know their product and they know their customers very well! I LIKE! End up I have to self-entertain and its way too awkward! MAC! Hire more staff please! Its the holiday season! Come on... Electronics hunters I would recommend you to head to Lucky Plaza and take your time to find that perfect digital camera. Ask the salesman lots of question to find out the genuinity of the product. I almost got ripped off with one who doesn't provide any waranty. I had a feeling its a stolen good! Haha... you will be surprise at how much of a bargain you can get there! Yes, the cam whore is back! I'm fully armed with a Canon Ixus i5 now so be afraid... be very very afraid... Today marks the very first time I went to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Gardens. I have no f**king idea that's its a hawker center! I think its the chinese's version of haven as how the Malays feel about Beach Road. Yeah... something like that. The food doesn't sucks but its something new for my half Malay, quarter indian and quarter javanese tongue... oh well. Baby, I love you! I Love you! I love you! My Girly Valentine...
The last time I had female "dates" for Valentines was like erm... 10years ago or so. So now, a decade later, my 2 amigos decided this year's Valentine, we'll meet up and "date" one another. Salyza brought us to a nice cosy cafe at Orchard Hotel called Cafe Vanecia. The food's ok and the calamari tempura rocks! Hahaha... We didn't spend a bomb on dinner. The price was alright. They even gave us a stalk of rose each. Like sympathy rose... hehehe. Oh we played a stoopid game to exchange names for the day. I was Salyza, Salyza was Fidzah and Fidzah was me. Hehehe... it was confusing but dead hilarious when we have to impersonate one another. At times it does get confusing though. ![]()

More photos can be viewed here. So sorry, too lazy to blog today. Ooh... before I forget. To Michelle and Mui Hong... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Labels: birthday, food, friends

The last bit of moolahs...
I finally get to eat something in Little India in my whole life. Seriously... jokes aside. I went to Buffalo Road and there's this restaurant called Blue Diamond. Sounds sleazy... nothing blue about that place at all. One cosy coffeeshop-like with blind spot mirrors in various pillars. Good for us as we can spot our 'superstar' friends. The Briyani was awesome. The price is reasonable... I'll give it 4 stars!! Take a good walk down to Bugis Market for a quick scan at the stalls, nothing that I fancy. While walking we planned where to chill and stuff. Somebody suggested Cafe Samar at Arab St. So we started walking again... ![]() The sheesha price is pretty cheap compare to the other sheesha places in Arab St. I don't really favour their kind of cuisine, really. The names are weird and there's too much of mint, yoghurt and those 'gadgets' that doesn't sound like at all savoury. Others might have a different opinion though. Will I go back there again? Hmmm... only for sheesha, $14 is cheap! ![]() For full album, click here! Labels: food, friends, happiness, singapore

Lemme tell all of you the story... 10th Dec : I departed for Sofitel Palm Resort, Senai, Johor Bahru, Malaysia ![]() That place was awesome. We got the ground floor rooms and my room had a view of the swimming pool. I thought mine was the worsst til I learnt that the others had the view of the golf course. Well, not really, more like the bushes. Hahaha.. What did I do when I was there? Hmmm... good food, awesome swimming pool, bowling, threw some darts, table tennis, OH! THE JACCUZZI AND THE SAUNA!!! Gosh... wish I could stay there forever. Also we had some teambuilding activities over at the olympic/wading pool. Good times.... 11th Dec : Bye bye good life... Most of them followed the tour bus back to Singapore but a couple of us called for a cab and made him drove us all the way to the city. Wish I had more money to splurge but its all good. I think we only reached Singapore around 10-ish. 14th Dec : Marche wit Mui Hong ![]() Its her 1 yr anniversary after being baptised. Congrats... and boy, she can really eat!! At the same time managed to check out the Christmas deco in Orchard Road. 16th Dec : Had dinner with my Darling. We went to Newton Hawker Centre and he made me eat a plate of Sambal Stingray all by myself. Its brutal but felt so good later on. So what if our breaths smells a lil fishy!! Good times... 17th Dec : Johor Bahru trip ![]() More like a nightmare... in a good way. Chop off my long locks, turned blonde, so sooooo tired... Selamat Hari Raya
Bye bye Ramadhan, hello Syawal... Its awkward on Syawal morning morning to wake up almost noon and able to EAT! Yes, the feeling of guilt when I put in food in my mouth feeling was intense. Why? Hmmm... Anyway I'm grateful for all the food I am able to savour on daily basis, especially on special occassions like this. But I am not grateful for the sore throat and the coughing and the headaches and the fever. That's so unnecessary! I had to request for plain water when the hosts' serving awesome, sweet sodas. Then everyone will go like "Oh are you on a diet?" True enuff I stopped asking for plain water and by 10pm last night, my coughing went NUTZ! I didn't had a good night rest because of the coughing. Now I learn something. Health comes before ego. Hehehe... Anyway yesterday was long and boring and most of the houses I went to, does not have grade A pineapple tarts. Bad thing happens during the preparation for the festive season. I "broke" my darling digi cam on Wednesday. The snaps looked weird on preview. I dropped by Canon service centre on Friday and the man told me he had to replace the whole lens barrel that'll cost me $180 plus labour charge $60! The air was still for a while... Me: What actually happened to my camera? Him: The censor on the lens' not working anymore Me: What spoils it? Him: *thinking* Do you take outdoor shots? Me: Yeah Him: Maybe you overexposed the censor to the sun Me: Oh (In my heart thinking, WHAT THE F**K!!!) He was checking with me again if I really wanna get it repaired or if I want to get a new camera instead. I told him that my Canon Ixus V3's my baby and I will not let it die. He laughed and told me it'll be ready for collection end of this week. Where the hell am I gonna get the money by end of the week? Gosh! I hate myself for not knowing how to spend wisely. I need to hire a financial assistant. Hmmm... any takers? Thank you Siti and Kym for the lovely Pasta and "Lump Juice". I missed hanging out with you psychos. Thank you Naura for agreeing to spend time with me. We had fun didn't we? Thank you to that Starbucks guy who's Kym's-younger-irritating-bro-who's-name-I-forgot, for screwing up my order which entitles me to another free drink. Thank you Asrena and Fidzah for the lovely dinner under the moonlight a.k.a at Lau Pa Sat, those chicken was hella good weren't they? Alright, that pretty much sums up my week, last week. Till I have the USB wire to upload my photos... toodles! Labels: food, friends, oh-oh, sick

A year older but wiser...
F**K! I'm aging like no one's business. Trust me, the moment you hit 21, the number will start increasing faster than you can make new resolutions! My birthday's like the end of the year, but from January people have already added another number to my age! Like, what the hell!! So this entry just update you on what I've been doing with pictures (yeah, they say a thousand words). What's my birthday wish? Hmm... I wish for love, health and wealth! *cough* TYPICAL! Hahaha... hey, any of the possibilities it may come true, I dun mind going thru the aging process anually. Anyway, whoever who's responsible for granting birthday wishes owed me 22 wishes altogether! Last but not least, thank you to every single one of you for wishing me a happy old day. Oh yeah, before I forget, wish all my fellow scorpions a HAPPY BIRTHDAY namely Lindsay, Naura, Lianne, Mariam, Izyani, Iskandar@Nemesis, Leonardo DiCaprio (yes I'm still smitten about him, alright) and the rest of you whom I may not remember the exact date but I know your birthday's in November or you may be a Scorpio. Well, its the effort that counts. I apologize for the plenty of exclamation marks in my entry today. I'm all hyped up! The shopping spree helps to re-energize me. So who needs sugar now? The Expired Chocolates
Hello everyone. I am not in a good mood partly because my PC had been having PMS for about a week now! I can't surf using any browser but on the contrary I can still MSN! Yeah... If you peeps are wondering where I've been, just to keep you updated that I am still alive and kicking. Busy with work and preparation for the festive seasons. My birthday's in 3 days time. Seems like it was just yesterday I celebrated my 22nd birthday. Boy do I miss being 21. 23 ain't that bad right? Come on people, console me here!! A colleague of mine gave me a box of chocolates which had expired on 28 July 2004. They had tested it and so far, no deaths nor casualty had been reported. I'm bringing it home and stuff myself to death... either way :P I can actually strike off one item from my birthday wishlist. My darling bought me The Simpsons Magic 8 Ball! I love it to bits. I brought it to the office and everyone who saw it love it! Its a conversational piece, I must say :) Hey, I am not 100% bitter these past few days. The weather cheered me up. I love rainy days! Thunders, lightnings, raindrops, cats and dogs... yeah... its my thing alright! Before I click 'SUBMIT' please remember, I'm still alive... dun leave me, EVER! Labels: birthday, cool, food, rant

Boo-gie...
My first attempting to watch the Idols do their stuff and the first time I realised something had to be wrong. 75% of them were lousy! Tonight for the first time, I voted for this guy here not b'cos he's Malay like me but because he had wowwed me with Earth, Wind & Fire's September. I love that song and he did not ruined it! Singaporeans, if you feel the same way as me please vote for him - key in "8" and send to 43657 (IDOLS). Olinda was good also but if you wanna make me choose between a 'Mat' and a 'Butch', I think I'll go for the 'Mat'! Hahaha... Something funny happened this morning. A Wushu coach called me to update her particulars. According to her she cannot speak English. Me: Hello good morning Her: Ah, XXX (my supervisor) blah blah blah? Me: She's on MC. Can I help you? Her: My English no good lah. Blah blah blah address change blah blah. Me: Oh new house ah? Her: Ah blah blah *gives her new address* Me: Aiyah, you move 2 doors away ah? (Her door number only change!) Her: *giggle* blah blah blah.... Me: Ok thank you Her: blah blah Anyway just in case any of you had not known yet, on Tuesday I celebrated my 2 years anniversary with Fahmy, the love of my life. But before I go into that, I have another great news that I had finally cut my hair. Well, not so much, just about slighty more than an inch. Better than nothing right? Before I made my way to the saloon, we passed by a tattoo parlour which provides piercing services as well. Fahmy stopped and asked me if I want to pierce my navel. He knew I had always wanted to have one but he doesn't like the idea. I thought that would make me happy but unfortunately my heart started racing like mad and my face went pale. He was shocked to see me in that state and asked me why. I told him I was scared. He giggled and we continued our journey to the saloon. We had dinner at the most romantic restaurant, or was it a cafe, in the whole of Singapore! Lovebirds out there, check out Beach Cabana at East Coast. Its somewhere near McDonalds and beside the inline skating rink. In my opinion, its better than Fish & Co. I would very much would like to recommend the Stingray dishes served with sambal. The whole night was blissful and looking forward to many many more anniversaries... Labels: food, relationship, singapore, tv, weird, work

Screw diet!
Saturday, definitely not a good day for dieting or that kind of crap. I had eaten too much. Don't feel so good when I woke up this afternoon. In conjuction with Fahmy's birthday, we went to Seoul Garden. We had cake and more. We had to take a break in between. Nobody wants to stop eating! Oh, they feedbacked that I was a terrible cook (or griller) LOL. We took a walk from Marina to Millenia then Suntec. Mid-way Fahmy went for a $10 haircut. Never seen such a Japanese looking saloon concept ever. The hair saloon operates in a tubey looking containers, like that of a portaloo. No wash needed. They used some kind of vacuum to suck the unwanted hair. Lucky for Fahmy he's hairdresser was awesome. He did an awesome job but he barely could speak English. Hahaha... After a long thought we decided to go for a karaoke session at K-box. Nice, cosy rooms, but a little costly. We had too much fun till we didn't realise how fast time flew! ![]() ![]() CLICK HERE FOR MORE! We went separate ways later that night. I had a few friends who had organised a BBQ party at East Coast Park. I hung out with them till almost 4am. They told ghost stories and stuff, I was too afraid to go home on my own! Take my time to wake up today. Hang around my room till I remembered I was out of shampoo. I went down to Centrepoint-Orchard Road to buy them And I passed by my Uncle's shop. This is free advertising for him. Please head down to Warung @Cavenagh, beside Le Meridien Hotel/Old Chang Kee, awesome dishes, good l |
