I need Freetime!

If you know me well enough, you should know I love to daydream. I can dream about anything and everything. Yup, I have fantasies too... Even one with the oddest men on earth! Haha... ok TMI! I was out for a bit today, window shopping, and 80% of the stores in Vivocity has 'SALE' plastered all over the front of the store. It's amazing how by looking at the second most evil four-letter word gives you the immense urge to buy something as if you've been wanting it forever.

I found this in my favourite IT store and it has a 'buy 2 get 1 free sticker' on it. Funny it only applies to Sims 2 products (the main game and the expansion packs). Unfortunately for me, I know need one... Freetime. I bloody have the rest of it already! Here I plea to anyone out there who would like to complete your EP collection to come forth and enjoy a member price of S$44 per EP but now with the offer it'll cost like *whip out calculator* S$30 tops. Anyone? Lianne? *wink*

Geek alert!

Today's outting is VERY different than those I've had ever. I found myself in a kiddy pub, surrounded by geeky virgins (actually pretty hard to predict that one, kids nowadays) and towards the end, deafened by awful, awful 'music'. I'd say it's quite a priceless experience for once, I paid attention to gamers 'rawkin' on their consoles 'jammin' to Guitar Heroes II tunes like I would American Idol. Haha... pretty entertaining especially the end bit where a guy got his ass kicked by a female 'guitarist' doning a befitting Metallica t-shirt. Its her lucky charm maybe?

Second part of the show was a 'band competition' where their music is supposedly inspired by video games. Its pretty enlightening to listen to their perception of 'music'. Sounded very alien to my ears mostly when they kinda spelt out some kind of secret decodable messages that got the crowd cheering like they understood whatever... you know what I mean? No? Exactly!!

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against geeks/gamers/whatnots. I belief I am one myself. But if it weren't for the familiar faces in the office I see there, I would feel goddamn out of place. Its like painting your wall brown and purple. Some may not see a problem with that but the artistic bit of your brain should be able to argue that color cordination can work in certain circumstances but the naked eye of a man might feel otherwise.

Party?

On Friday night, about 30% of my colleagues stayed back to throw a farewell party to 3 of my other colleagues who'll be leaving, Carebear, Charger and erm... a fruit. Haha... I use nicknames cos I felt like it. What? Other bloggers are doing it so why can't I! Anyway the party's B-O-R-I-N-G but at least I gotta play Nintendo Wii Tennis! Addictive like no words can describe. I don't suck... and I'm no expert but practise is the key word. That's the only bit of the part that I enjoyed the most. Oh ya... the pizzas... and my homemade cuppies! I didn't even bother to whip my digicam out!

17 more days till my trip... estatic? OUI!

I've always wondered how one can make money, legally of course and one sure way, if you've got the luck to boot, is to gamble. Casino is nothing foreign, we're opening one here in Singapore after many years of resorting to fleeing to one in other countries. Friends?

My phone has been very very quiet for the past year. Why? It didn't used to be like this. Is it something that I've done? Did I put so much attention on my love life and work that I forsaken everything else that matters? Yup, Sims 2 is my new best friend. It kept me company throught good and bad hours after hours!

I accidentally punched the wall on my way out of the ladies room. Now I can see my non-existence knuckle. Still sore... yeooucchh!

These are the rules: Each player of this game starts out by giving 6 weird things about themselves. 1. When I plugged my earphones in while walking, I must ensure I pace myself with the music otherwise my walk gets disoriented.
2. I'm a natural born leader; I like things organised my way or no way. Haha, many of my friends would have noticed but I meant well... honest!
3. I'm addicted to Cup Corn/Corn Cup (however you may call it) - I even made them myself at home. Actually I'm a corn fan since I was a tot.
   
4. Once there's something new to watch on TV, I am almost never patient enough to wait so I'll either youtube it or download it myself. I'll be done with the whole season before it's even shown on TV.
5. I hate text messaging. Those keypads are not made to fit my thumb so my message will usually be short, sweet and badly formed - cos' I can't be bothered like that. Next time just call me :)

I've never watched the show before but I heard many saying its a no brainer game with massive sponsors. Haha... how about trying out the game yourself online? Go over to Winzy's but its just for the fun of it, no prizes to be won unfortunately!

Fancy my opinion?

Ah yes, I got these before anyone else in Singapore could even purchase it. Thanks to a certain someone who believed in me, giving me the opportunity to review this expansion pack. I have mentioned before to many that I wished I can get paid playing Sims 2. Wish almost granted. Not getting extra income from this but good enough of an experience. Who the heck in the right mind would let my opinion be heard by many?

Oh, speaking of which, I will be on TV in 2 weeks or so on BlogTV.sg, a new tv show on Channel News Asia. Pretty cool show, yup, once again, my opinion matters. I am representing bloggers in Singapore mind you! I may not have delivered the exact message like I had wanted to but I tried. Put yourself in front of 3 cameras, many spotlights, Flying Dutchman and a lawyer, tell me if you won't fumble! *growl*

And so it Sims...

I created a blog for my brand new Sims Legacy called Bittersweet Sims. Its pretty much a random legacy, literally. I randomise everything and play with it. Except for their hair and clothing, which can make me gag, I had to change them. Otherwise, everything else is random. Oh no, I designed their houses... therefore erm... unrandom.



I'm having so much fun with it so far. Finally I manage to design pretty houses without spending a bomb (Sims metric, simoleons). I should take more screenshots of the houses I designed. I have this thing about 1 level homes. I hate 2-3 levels ones for my Sims will get tired easily climbing up and down the steps. Also I love to see what's going on at one glance without rotating the screen too much. Easy on the eyes, easy on the mind...

Office War

Help... Clifford and I having a battle! Its not looking too good for me. He got me when I'm not looking! Hazel has this squishy ball lying around and now you can see it flying across the office, ricocheting from my head, his laptop, my shoulder, his back, my chair, his calculator... you get the idea. ITS A FRICKIN' BATTLEFIELD IN HERE!!

On a lighter note, we got a new drink dispenser machine in the office. There's Milo, coffee, tea, peach tea and I heard someone saw green tea somewhere in there. Ahh... and this time, I'm not the one cleaning the machine! PHEW~

Betcha By Golly Wow!

How's my weekend? Hmm... I'd say fruitful. I spend both days on my bed, infront of the telly and of course infront of my flatscreen monitor playing sims 2. I played till I can't play no more which fortunately I've not reach that stage yet. People are sick of MSN-ing me at home to chat and I told them I'm busy sim-ing. Hahaha... sorry peeps... this girl got a 'life' to control. *LOL*

I have a story to tell. Something happened on friday during my lunch hour. A few of us were chatting after a hearty meal and I had a craving to eat goreng pisang (banana fritters). Raj pointed that one of the corner shop sells the best goreng pisang but he's snobby and will never give you discount if his life depends on it.

So they relate to me a few incidents and dared me to go buy my goreng pisang and ask for discount. I got up, went up to the uncle and...

ME: Uncle how much for 1 goreng pisang?
UNCLE: 50 cents.
ME: If I buy 3, $1 can?
UNCLE: Eh, you never go to school ah? If you buy 3 its $1.50 lah!
ME: Who knows got discount.
UNCLE: (This is the part where he lectured me about his high quality goods incomparable elsewhere)
I passed him $2 note for 2 goreng pisang and waited for him to return my change while he's still lecturing me. As he went on and on about his business, he handed me a 50cents coin.
ME: Uncle, If I buy 2 goreng pisang, it'll be a dollar.
UNCLE: Oops sorry.
ME: See lah, ask you to go to school dowan!

I walked away as I left him dumbfounded. I got a mental applause from my colleagues sitting by watching intently at the 'mini drama' I sketched. My goreng pisang had never tasted so good!

Oh by the way, SOUL PLANE is awesome!

Eh... wassup wit' Fida?

Something weird is happening in my life. Thanks to a certain somebody, this morning I was surfing around for the nearest community library! Hmm... since when am I a reader? I hate to read! I finished 2 books a week ago and I wanna return them myself instead of handing it to a certain somebody to do it for me. My intention is not only to drop the books but to loan more... why? What's wrong with me? Am I a changed person? Hmm...

Anyway Fahmy told me his elder sister's pregnant after YEARS of trying. Her husband cried when he heard the news. I have no words to express how happy I am for the couple. Very very happy!

I have a couple of news which I CANNOT say here. I did so in my Livejournal but its only visible to friends. So sorry about that. You may wanna ask me for access if you have LJ Account.

I actually have a couple of photos to post up but I have no time to download the photos from my digicam. What have I been doing during my weekends? I spend hours infront of my PC playing Sims 2... what else is new huh? Hehe.. I am ADDICTED to that game. Help!

I would like to thank Kym for helping me buying my poison for March 24 party. Seriously its DIRT CHEAP in duty free shops! Goodness! Thank you so much... I will arrange a meet up with you cos I have to hide that sucker in my office ;P

Ok, I have 2 long weekends. The first time was for the Chinese New Year Week and the 2nd one was for now. He he he... I was on MC on Thurs and Fri. Which means this week I only went to work on Wednesday! Am I sick? Hmmm...

Fidzah: How come you're at the clinic?
Fida: I have ear infection.
Fidzah: What the *&@#?
Fida: Ok, my turn to see doctor. (hang up the phone)

After consultation

Fida: I got 2 days MC
Fidzah: He gave you 2 days MC when you stepped into his room?
Fida: No lah, he dug my ear for a bit to check for... erm... stuff.
Fidzah: A lot of gold in there?
Fida: Not gold, DIAMONDS! *bling bling* Anyway I only asked for 1 day and he gave me 2 and Monday I still have to see him again... My doctor loves me...

She went nutz learning about my long weekend part deux and started hollering pitching, screechy stuff I don't quite comprehend.

So lets talk about my 1st long weekend. What did I do? Hmm... this may sound very geeky but I manage to caught up with my Sims 2. Its been a long time since I played, ok! So don't blame me if I spent day in day out in front of the PC screen.

I did went out on Sunday night with Fahmy to "1 Nite Stand". Awesome band, awesome place, awesome crowd! Would love to go there again. If you wanna go with me, just holler!

I bought Sims 2 University expansion pack and its not working! I cannot install that motherf*cker! I spent a bomb on it and till now I cannot play it! What the f*ck is up with my b*tch!

To the excitement of some, my entry today has no pictures. I've kept my cam-whoring addiction in complete control, ok. I deserve an award here!

Seriously you have seen the side of people you think you know so well of that night but you thought wrong. I'm glad everybody left the place with massive laugh lines on their faces *PHEW*. Can't wait to do it again. I have to thank Ms. Harvey for introducing that place to me. I'm giving them more business now!

Brain malfunction...

I dunno what to say really, life stops the moment you entered the office door. I can feel my life sucked out of me each step I took towards my cubicle. I kept thinking to myself, is it worth the 8 hours daily? 8 hours of my life spent in that wretched place... when I could be doing something else!

My ideal day would be...

DAY 1
- waking up between 1100-1400h
- have a meal in front of the telly
- surf the net a little
- call up my posse or my boyfriend, spent the rest of the day with them
- nice cold shower when I reach home
- if I can't sleep maybe play Sims or something until I feel sleepy

Day 2
- waking up between 1100-1400h
- have a meal in front of the telly
- surf the net and play Sims
- in between have a tele-convo with people that matter, people who can make me happy
- have another meal in front of the telly
- plopped myself either in front of the telly or my PC
- have another tele-convo before I eventually fall asleep

Sims has this cheat mode ('rosebud', or 'motherlode' for Sims 2) where it will automaticly adds 10,000 Simoleans (that's Sims Dollars for Sims Dummy) to your account. If only life has a cheat mode like that!

Ok ok, I'm sooo crazy over this game right now. To tell you the truth, I spent 5 hours in front of my ome PC trying to install a pirated software of Sims 2 and it didn't work. I'm so pissed! I'll probably try again when I get another copy of the software, hope it works! For 5 bucks, what do you expect?? Somebody please get me the original Sims 2 (plus the expansion pack if you intend to buy me one around March) for my advanve/belated birthday or something!!!
