I held her in my arms and it (my arms) got tired after holding her for a bit. She's gonna be one tall chick I tell ya! Annual Report 2007
Well, if you had forgotten, I had scrapped the idea of having resolutions since last year. Mainly due to the fact that I never fulfiled them and I tend to not care about them at all. But I did mention I wanted to pick up a new skill. Well...
I guess I did tried to do better in life and work. I remember having all this self-realisation, self-discover shitzz for a couple of months. I blame it on my quarter life crisis. For once I notice how much I've grown and I've also realised how precious time is. Charly, the french fry, came down to Singapore again for his internship. I wished I had spent more time with him but I didn't. He was here for like 6mths and I met him like 2-3 times? pathetic eh? But that's more frequent than I meet my own folks, so... Lindsay came and I met up with her for that one day... just one day! I will do better for your 2008 trip, I promise! I met so many new people... like SO MANY! I made myself sit down and listen to them to really get to know them better before passing off judgement. Yeah, a whole different Fida coming your way. I'm still the same person really, just takes a much longer time to unleash the negativity now. Haha! Am I happier now? I guess you can say so. But deep inside there's a tinge of sadness in me for the fact that I wish I could meet up with my present, long-time-no-see friends again to catch up on old times. Just having you in my phonebook is not enough... unless I've chosen to avoid you already? Muahaha! Let's talk about vacations. I went to Phuket, Bangkok, Bintan and JB. That's like using my passport for 4 times! Like woah~ This has to be some kind of a record! Usually I travel like twice max. Pricely possession of this year includes:
I almost lost my PC but a good friend told me he'll fix it at no cost... just a Burger King meal! That was a close call but I'm glad he manage to salvage everything back. I have no clue what I'll do if I loose all the data inside! I should now consider investing in a Hard Disk Drive to backup all my data! I did blogathon again this year and once again, I fell asleep for a bit. It was a lot more organised this year as I've had previous experiences. Haha. I didn't raise that much money but I'm glad I did my part to help the less fortunate. Should I look forward to Blogathon 2008? Meh... we'll see about that. It kinda gets a tad too old... we need fresh ideas people! As I mentioned I won't be setting resolutions but on the other hand, I started new projects/hobbies.

Ooh wee....
Pertaining to my previous post here, I've yet to introduce my new 'love' to you. Presenting Nokia E65... (the snazzier looking one) and I shall name it Britney, cos Paris is so last year and the skankiest hoe in Hollywood now is Ms. Spears! Hahaha... just kidding. I've not found a good name for it yet.  In my humble opinion, this is like the fanciest phones I've ever owned. I am still learning how to use the phone. Lucky for me I've got a colleague or two using the same phone as moi, so I can refer to them like I would WikiPedia whenever I'm kinda stuck. We kept laughing our socks off (yes we both wore socks at the time). Its a must see movie for everyone! We finally get to eat at Marche, Vivocity branch since it had opened late last year. Did you see that?
I left my house at 11am in hope to get a taste of the goodies from Donut Factory. Shops are usually open around 11am and by the time I reach there I was so damn sure there will be no queue. None of my friends had ever gotten the chance to try the donut due to the large crowd awaiting outside the store but they highly recommended it (clueless as to how they know its good). The one they recommended in Vivocity (Vinco) is far less beyond my expectation. Their donuts sucks! Anyway, I was confident that I could be the first one to try this Donut Factory! Fahmy texted me when I was on my way there: "Are you sure you want to queue?". Pretty dumb question since I'm not even there yet. Went down to the basement and cheerfully browsed the directory trying to locate the store when Fahmy pointed to me in a direction which looks like one where a Singaporean lined up to get freebies. To my horror the queue was split into 3! I bet these people started queueing even before the store had opened! Fahmy: Do you want to queue? Fida: Fuck it and lets watch a movie. So we headed to Great World City and bought tickets to see Fracture. Ryan Gosling... mmm... I thought he was hotter in Hercules. Its a good movie I'd give it a 7/10. The ending could have been better. I liked it, Fahmy liked it. So I guess its money well spent. We spend the whole of my Saturday talking, laughing, hugging, eating, drinking... just plain norm fun. Its been a VERY long time since I spent more than 10 solid hours with him. Any idea when is the screening for that Simpsons movie? The donuts shown in the trailer looks really yummy! As I browsing some magazines at work (its part of my job to do so) and I saw a familiar face. i even got another colleague of mine to take a look at it, since he will find the person familiar too, and he couldn't hold back his laughter. Weekend updates
Yeah... I met Fahmy, hungry, had lunch at Delifrance, Capitol Building, walk a bit, got tired, took a bus, end up in cineleisure, contemplating to go bowling or karaoke, end up at K-Box, went for member's special where I don't have to pay cover charges, just for drinks and the compulsory tid bits, we were given 5 hours to sing, felt like texting Rizal, he came down to join us all the way from Johor Bahru, Malaysia, we sang till we're pretty much hungry again, went down to Beach Road for dinner, had "tulang" (direct translation: bones, otherwise its a delicacy made famous by people here, see this entry), chit chat for a bit, went over to Tampines to hang out with Fahmy's friend, around 1am, we shifted to Pasir Ris for another round of not doing anything, hailed a cab, reached home around 3.30am, went to bed, do-nothing Saturday, got bored on Sunday, called Siti up for another 5 hours of karaoke-ing.... *phew* Let the photos do the talking. Weekly Update
Yeah, I'm late like that but whatever. Its my blog and I'll update whenever I want to. Last friday my company had a sponsored tea time in our lounge area and since I got crap to do before my weekend starts I had a quick trip over to the buffett table only to steal these...  Yeah drool away my friends! Right after that my MD called me out for a little chat. He asked how was my teabreak and I can't help but to shower him with praises for agreeing to organise such stuff. Little did I realise I don't think thats why he asked me out. Later we sat near the pantry and he whipped out a report and showed me all the clients that we've dealt with for the past 3 months. I just went along not knowing what he wants. After he's done explaining the report to me I was like "Darn, bribing me with awesome sinful stuff to make me do stuff for him!". Then he whip out a file and showed me a cheque of value $(bleep). My eyes lit up (like DOH!) and I waited for him to explain what the cheque is for. "This is your commission plus half of it is advance for clients who have not cleared their invoice yet. We're doing this quarterly so if you want your money, ensure client make their payment on time." He prompted if I've got anything to ask him and I went like "erm... why aren't this made monthly?" which he shot me with "You want me to die is it!?" Hehe... he's a funny man :)  Ah yes, How could we start the year without celebrating this asshole's birthday. We went for a 'big' feast @ Beach Road. No photos cos' all of us got our hand dirtied with red stuff all over. After which we head downtown for a gaming session @ Minds Cafe. We all had a blast! Especially that asshole since we gave him, I think, a wonderful gift after last year's. Hope he will wear it like everyday... till next year! Another 'class' today with ma man. Not too bad. He's happy with my progress and my fingers' taking it well... at least better than the last time. I learnt 3 songs today to practice at my own pace. Bye, Strum, Boo, Fastfood, GOAL!
... ya rite~! Lots of stuff to blog today. Many many things happening in my life last week. I'm not even sure where to start. Hmmm... Last friday was Clifford last day sitting behind me. I have no one to irritate me anymore in the office right now. In fact today the office is so quiet I actually felt like I'm working. Haha~! He had left for greener (more like concrete/cemented one) pasture. Am I gonna miss him? I dunno... too soon to tell. On Saturday I dragged Hazel's old guitar to Peninsula Plaza to get it checked and repair whatever's that needed to be fixed. Cost me $35 and I also bought me some guitar picks and a tuner. They helped me fix everything. So whatever's that broken is now... unbroken *LOL*. [RESERVE FOR PHOTO/S] I caught Fast Food Nation at GV Plaza and boy am I disappointed. Is it a movie? Is it a documentary? Who knows! Its B-O-R-I-N-G~! I tell ya... If not for Wilmer Valderama in there, I would have fallen asleep! Fahmy kept glaring at me whenever Wilmer's on screen. He's cute ain't he? After a quick dinner at Delifrance, we head to Boat Quay for an impromptu guitar lesson. He's a good teacher, I'm a lousy student, together we make good blister on my fingers. Yeah... I can play Whats Up by 4 Non Blondes. My fingers are so bloody stiff I swear I wanna bite them off. I can't play the C chord proper up till now! Around 8-ish, we hunt for the nearest pub with a big TV screening football match since the beau wants to catch the Liverpool-Watford game. Yappy Yew Year!
Its 2007 and I hope you had partied the twenty-o-six away like your life depends on it! I personally had a different kind of celebration. I was in a place where I get to feel for someone else. I was a proud mama watching my baby on stage doing something he love the most (other than me). I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole night and he knows it and thought it was weird. He got an encore to play with another band and I had shamelessly announced to the peeps near my table that HAWT bassist is my boyfriend! Shameless I tell ya... Just came back from watching Borat. It opens today... technically, yesterday since I'm blogging after midnight... and I didn't hesitate to drag my baby after his jamming session to the nearest cinema. Pre-Christmas
[edit]Just to let you guys know I'm having a supder duper long weekend. I'm on MC for tuesday and wednesday and am clearing my leave on thursday and friday. Dun be hatin'![/edit] Stuff happened before christmas and I've neglected to update about it. Why? Cos' its like a brand new habit I picked up from some people in my blogroll. Its contagious! Its deadly! Run people run!! There's one Sunday, Fahmy and I met up and picked up the courage to try the all new junk food eateries, Superdogs. Not as super as I had thought it would have been in my head, but its alright. Chilli cheese dogs... nay! And then this super couple met up again on another weekend, the eve of xmas eve, and end up in a place we both had enjoyed, a year ago with a few others who had just explored it for the first time. #1 Nite Stand had the best live band I've seen, Six In The City, but the crowd wasn't too favorable. So we left only to find ourselves in Ministry of Sound... sheesh. Sorry, no photos from in there, too lazy! Still not quite gotten rid of my hangover, I flagged a cab and off we go to Aisha's place to celebrate her daughter's birthday. A house full of kids... good times! A whole lotta proper updates
There's this one day Fahmy and I met on a weekend to spend time together at Vivocity and everywhere else around that area. We had too much fun that the idea of waiting for our dinner to arrive is just too much of precious time to waste just sitting there and wondering when will the plates be delivered to your table. A few days later, on night, on my off day, Clifford invited me to some party at MOS. I think it had something to do with MTV and some watches. I should really start disciplining myself to update soon enuff before I forget the details.   Then over the weekend I met up wit my long-time-no-see auntie Naura *hehehe*. She has a new toy and she ain't afraid to show it off. Look at the size of that thang!!But than that monster toy of hers' battery went kapoot within minutes after we started playing with it. Its a very complicated toy to play with in my opinion but she seems to know what she's doing. We also raid the flea market nearby and got some good buys. Bags mostly, good price for a second hand product. That auntie of mine nabbed like FIVE at one go while I only managed to land my heart for two. Must shop there again... and again... and again. Addicted I am now, thanks to that auntie! Another good day after work, we headed towards the east for a scrumptious dinner in honor of Clifford and Carol's old aged day. Haha... I love celebrating other people's birthday. Its soooo much more fun than celebrating your own.  The day after I met up with the one and only idiot cousin of mine for he owes me 1 out of many dinner treats and to the changi airport we go for my well deserved Popeyes! Last night I went for the loooong awaited swim with Hazel and boy did that scare the shit outta ma muscles! We did 20laps which I had not done for a very long time and it was my first time attempting it with Hazel. Twas fun... Twas good... Twas tummy rumbling. So off to McDonalds we go! Birthday update
Yes, its been 12 days since my birthday and I hadn't post anything since. I've been very busy and almost fell ill, something that always happen everytime I turned a year older. So here we go (prays blogger won't go nuts!)...     On my birthday morning I reach the office to be greeted by a very lovely gift from the same guy who got me the NYDC cake. He's so sweet! He got me 2 packs instead of 1! I finished it within a week, shared of course! Then the whole gang of us lunch together to celebrate my 21st birthday at Coffee Club, Holland Village. 1-2-3-4!!!
 Yay! 4 years! 4 frickin' years! Boy how time flies! I knew him like 5-6 years ago and 4 years ago we got together. It was a memorable day cos' The Esplanade was launched on the same day (probably the same time). Like any other relationship we had been thru thick and thin, the best and the worse, the ups and downs... you named it, we've kinda had it. Many a times we thought of giving up but realising we can't possible live without each other, we've decided to give the relationship chance after chance. Its just too hard to say "we're done!". I wish us many more anniversaries and many more fights cos' without so we won't really realise how much we meant to each other. I love you baby... *muacks* Labels: happiness, relationship

Fork me again, my stock value went up!
Hazel MSN-ed me asking me to come over to her desk. I was thinking "What did I do now...". She handed me an envelope and congratulated me to being part of the company. I was thrilled, grabbed the envelope, I think I thanked her and hopped to my workstation to tear it open.  Oh Clifford got his letter a couple of minutes after mine. Yay! Congrats to us! |
