Live Earth - my training for Blogathon 2007
I thought this event will be a good opportunity to train for blogathon. I'm kinda worried right now... really. I need another reason to train again! I watched the live telecast from the beginning, fell asleep during Phil Collins performance (can you blame me?) and woke up in the wee hours to catch Red Hot Chilli Peppers and fell asleep after they're done with ONE song (sigh). Woke up in the morning to watch Pussycat Dolls strut their stuff and gave up again after Foo Fighters. Some of the performances are weak but I have to say KUDOS to Rihanna's awesome heavy version of Umbrella. I'm in love with that song already! I'm pretty impressed with the bands over on Sydney stage though. First time I heard their stuff and I'm surprise as to why they aren't famous/unheard of here in Anyways... some photos from Friday night. Click here to see them all! Yappy Yew Year!
Its 2007 and I hope you had partied the twenty-o-six away like your life depends on it! I personally had a different kind of celebration. I was in a place where I get to feel for someone else. I was a proud mama watching my baby on stage doing something he love the most (other than me). I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole night and he knows it and thought it was weird. He got an encore to play with another band and I had shamelessly announced to the peeps near my table that HAWT bassist is my boyfriend! Shameless I tell ya... Oh ya, there's videos too but that'll take time to load so maybe on the next entry or so... HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone. Have an awesome 2007. Pre-Christmas
[edit]Just to let you guys know I'm having a supder duper long weekend. I'm on MC for tuesday and wednesday and am clearing my leave on thursday and friday. Dun be hatin'![/edit] Stuff happened before christmas and I've neglected to update about it. Why? Cos' its like a brand new habit I picked up from some people in my blogroll. Its contagious! Its deadly! Run people run!! There's one Sunday, Fahmy and I met up and picked up the courage to try the all new junk food eateries, Superdogs. Not as super as I had thought it would have been in my head, but its alright. Chilli cheese dogs... nay! And then this super couple met up again on another weekend, the eve of xmas eve, and end up in a place we both had enjoyed, a year ago with a few others who had just explored it for the first time. #1 Nite Stand had the best live band I've seen, Six In The City, but the crowd wasn't too favorable. So we left only to find ourselves in Ministry of Sound... sheesh. Sorry, no photos from in there, too lazy! Still not quite gotten rid of my hangover, I flagged a cab and off we go to Aisha's place to celebrate her daughter's birthday. A house full of kids... good times! Anyways, here's some graphics containing stuff I've gotten during the festive season. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmm... that means I still owe them presents, YIKES! I dedicate this song to them then... HAHA! Hey, Xmas song ok! Good one also, kinda appropriate if you read the lyrics below *LOL*... enjoy! And a belated MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Oi! Oi! Haji was a punk just like any other boy And he never had no trouble until he started up his Oi band, safe in the garage or singing in the tub. Till Haji went to far and he plugged in at the pub Twas a cold Christmas eve when Trevor and the skins popped in for a pint and to nick a bag of crisps Trevor liked the music but not the Unity He unwound Haji's turban and knocked him to his knees If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" Haji was a bloody mess, he ran out thru the crowd he said "we'll meet again we are bloody yet unbowed" Trevor called his bluff and told him where to meet Christmas day on the roof down at 20 Oxford street If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" On the roof with the nun chucks Trevor broke a lot of bones But Haji had a sword like that guy on Indiana Jones Police sirens wailing, a bloody dying man, Haji was alone and abandoned by his band Trevor was there fading and still so full of hate when the skins left him there and went down the fire escape Oi Oi Then then Haji saw the north star shining more then ever So he made a tourniquet from his turban saving Trevor the repelled down the roof with the rest of the turban and went back to the pub where they bought each other bourbon If god came down on Christmas Day I know exactly what he'd say He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins- but Oi to the world and everybody wins!" A whole lotta proper updates
There's this one day Fahmy and I met on a weekend to spend time together at Vivocity and everywhere else around that area. We had too much fun that the idea of waiting for our dinner to arrive is just too much of precious time to waste just sitting there and wondering when will the plates be delivered to your table. A few days later, on night, on my off day, Clifford invited me to some party at MOS. I think it had something to do with MTV and some watches. I should really start disciplining myself to update soon enuff before I forget the details. ![]() Then over the weekend I met up wit my long-time-no-see auntie Naura *hehehe*. She has a new toy and she ain't afraid to show it off. Look at the size of that thang!!But than that monster toy of hers' battery went kapoot within minutes after we started playing with it. Its a very complicated toy to play with in my opinion but she seems to know what she's doing. We also raid the flea market nearby and got some good buys. Bags mostly, good price for a second hand product. That auntie of mine nabbed like FIVE at one go while I only managed to land my heart for two. Must shop there again... and again... and again. Addicted I am now, thanks to that auntie! Another good day after work, we headed towards the east for a scrumptious dinner in honor of Clifford and Carol's old aged day. Haha... I love celebrating other people's birthday. Its soooo much more fun than celebrating your own. ![]() The day after I met up with the one and only idiot cousin of mine for he owes me 1 out of many dinner treats and to the changi airport we go for my well deserved Popeyes! Last night I went for the loooong awaited swim with Hazel and boy did that scare the shit outta ma muscles! We did 20laps which I had not done for a very long time and it was my first time attempting it with Hazel. Twas fun... Twas good... Twas tummy rumbling. So off to McDonalds we go! Bitching session commenced at 2145h and went on till almost 0000h. Twas fun... Twas informative... Twas fierce! As usual, click the photos to view the rest. Hardwarezone 8th Anniversary @ Zouk
5.30pm I was already at zouk. Roam around the empty space armed with a glass in my hand. Wondering wtf am I gonna do later in there. My dear colleagues will be dead busy entertaining the clients and the rest will be busy doind administrative stuff. Wtf am I gonna do? Aaron came to me with a bag of fake chips and claimed he can triple it in no time. I told him I do not know how to gamble and he dragged me to the casino area for a round of blackjack. I won that round and he looked at me in disbelieve. Aaron: You told me you do not know how to gamble! Me: I am good at blackjack but I've never played with chips. So we were stuck at the table for a good one hour before the dealer had to close the table for a 15mins break. I walked around looking for familiar faces with no agenda and hung around them for a bit until my tummy start rumbling and I dashed for the buffet tables. Hell break lose after I had my brief dinner. I hung around Clifford and helped to entertain his clients. They love me, I love them... KC: You love Alfa Romeo cars? Me: I love their spyder. KC: I love a woman who knows her car. Me: *raise my glass* CHEERS! Jasmine: You're so adorable! Yesss... MOS!
Charly, Ellen and moi head down to Clarke Quay for a night of alcohol, loud music and a whole lotta fun! First we snuggled on the comfy couch in 1 Nite Stand listening to the awesome music of Six In The City. This is the first time I heard the band perform with the replacement vocalist, and they still sound awesome! Right after that we hopped over to the Ministry of Sound for some boogie, woogie, oogie till about 2am. Click on the photo to see the rest of it. ![]() Oh when I was in The Cage (a.k.a Smoove), I bumped into someone really familiar... very very familiar... I pulled him by the arm and I noticed him grinning... Me: Are you Shawn? Shawn: Yes and I REMEMBER you! Me: Are you sure? Shawn: Yeah, I still remember that night. You girls looked GORGEOUS! Me: Awww... Shawn: Seriously... THANK YOU! We chatted for a bit, introduced him to the almost forgotten friends I had towed along with me in there and we went separate ways. He's so cute... ![]() Drool~~~ Labels: friends, hot, nightlife

Martini Garnish Buffett
It was a night of class and sophistication. Everybody's holding a glass of Dry Martini before the party begun. TOPSHOP had a line-up of new collection that screams "007". They led the way tot he entrance while the guest trailed along with an almost empty glass. ![]() ![]() ![]() Eeks! Hazel with 2 glasses of Dry Martini! The stick figures sashayed around the oh-so-tiny pub in (at least) a S$80-S$100 outfit while we ponder on what kind of martini we would want to order next. Hazel, my manager, bought a what I liked to call a Martini Credit Card. She had prepaid for 40 glasses of martinis and its worth S$80. That's like S$2 per glass! Unfortunately its only usable in Wong San's territory. Anyways her card came with a handout with pictures of the many martinis served in those bars and Lynn and myself sorta try to remember the names so as not to sound stoopid and keep ordering Lychee Martini. Fashion show ends and its time for some games. I got fingers pointing at me when asked for female volunteers so reluctantly I walked up to the centre of the stage waiting for some kind of shit to happen for the world to see me make a fool of myself. Fortunately its a simple game where I have to make my own martini called HSBC Desire. Yes, HSBC's like the sponsor or something. I have a pro-bartender to tell me what to do and he's like "You should add blah with blah, both full cup then lastly add blah but not too much cos when you drink it that way it'll be...". I stopped him halfway and said "Just tell me what to do when I need to do it. I dunno squat what you're saying". The judge came on stage and tasted the other guy's drink and then mine. I dunno why but I really wanted to win that time. True enuff, he liked my martini better. I was crushed when I didn't even get to taste my martini but they announced that I had won a S$200 Wong San voucher. Like WTF! Happy siak! Head down to Odeon Towers for another round of drinks and dinner at Roof. Good place, good ambience, good crowd... love it there. Thanks Lynn for recommending me that place and also the 30% discount. Love ya MUACKS! Phew... finally I update my blog with photos! Labels: cool, nightlife, vainpot, work

Photos!
Ok this was taken on 24th March during Salyza's hen's night. We reached MOS about midnight and unfortunately had to queue for about 10-15mins. We were late cos' everyone took so bloody long to get ready! Try waiting for 5 ladies to get ready for a girls' nite out and then you'll understand. Color of the night, BLACK. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What? What did you say? Cam what? Cam whores? Did I hear you say cam whores? Hehehe... fuck do I care. Tee-hee, here I go!
I am so dreading to blog right now cos I've not been updating for quite a while and I have a lot to say about them. Well, here goes nothing... My last day in SSC It was raining and I came to work in the afternoon to clear my half day leave. One thing for sure. I am God damn glad I had packed my stuff slowly for the past few days. I was very satisfied with the state I left my workstation for the next person to take over. Its not 100% clean, but its good enough a condition for a human to 'live' there. Not many peeps knew 22nd March 2006 is my last day of work so by going around the office with a camera sure do give them a shock. It beats me telling them myself. I mean, why should I advertise my last day? If you wanna know, you should have asked me personally, right? Anyway took some pictures, unfortunately a lot of people were not in the office that day, so too bad, it rained heavily, bade farewells and off I went with my ex-boss and ex-supervisor to a place unknown to me. He wanted to give us both a treat for his promotion and our resignation and he brought us to his brother's pub near Marine Parade/East Coast. Nice place, forgot the name, delicious food and yes, we drank. Its a good think he made me drink. I can say whatever I want without feeling the guilt or embarassment. I had to admit but I was having a good time with him. Not gonna miss it though... 1st day of unemployment I did not wake up late. Its like my body had been permanently set to wake up at a certain time. I could go back to sleep but I had an appointment with Haqiim. We met at Coffee Bean, Boat Quay in the afternoon and dear sir asked me a very STOOPID question. Haqiim: Just the two of us? Fida: How many others do you know is not working right now? DOH! The long awaited event On friday we had arranged for a very important person to attend a very "grand" party organised by a couple of us to celebrate the last few moments before she gets deflowered! Yup, its Salyza's bachelorette party @ Merchant Court Hotel/MOS. Apologies for lack of photos thanks to Fidzah who's so God damn slow and also my apologies for lack of details cos we had a pact not to kiss and tell ;P I will probably post up some selected, harmless photos here but not now. The day after... Went to one of my favourite pub, 1 Nite Stand to enjoy good music, good crowd and awesome booze. Just a simple drinking session for no specific reason. Right at this point I am very aware there's too much blood in my alcohol system, yeah... The 1st day of my new job It was alright, my workstation is quite messy, although pretty much bare. The colleagues are alright too. The best part of the job was to know that everybody sort of need to have their MSN activated for easy communication. We use it even though the person we're communicating to is sitting in the same office as you. Cool ain't it? Work load is pretty much bearable and I'm yet to receive more responsibilities from the manager. I'm slowly reorganising things around my desk and of course the work itself since I am the new girl who has to start something afresh here with a new system implemented by the manager recently. I feel really good about this place, although I am still in search of a smoking partner, otherwise, everything else is alright! They told me in Aug/Sep this year, the whole company will be having a retreat but no idea where. Can't wait! Before I pen off... Will update you more about my work and of course hoping that somebody will not take their own sweet time with the photos! Till then, muacks! Labels: food, friends, nightlife, party, rant, work

Get ready for this...
Ok, I have 2 long weekends. The first time was for the Chinese New Year Week and the 2nd one was for now. He he he... I was on MC on Thurs and Fri. Which means this week I only went to work on Wednesday! Am I sick? Hmmm... Fidzah: How come you're at the clinic? Fida: I have ear infection. Fidzah: What the *&@#? Fida: Ok, my turn to see doctor. (hang up the phone) After consultation Fida: I got 2 days MC Fidzah: He gave you 2 days MC when you stepped into his room? Fida: No lah, he dug my ear for a bit to check for... erm... stuff. Fidzah: A lot of gold in there? Fida: Not gold, DIAMONDS! *bling bling* Anyway I only asked for 1 day and he gave me 2 and Monday I still have to see him again... My doctor loves me... She went nutz learning about my long weekend part deux and started hollering pitching, screechy stuff I don't quite comprehend. So lets talk about my 1st long weekend. What did I do? Hmm... this may sound very geeky but I manage to caught up with my Sims 2. Its been a long time since I played, ok! So don't blame me if I spent day in day out in front of the PC screen. I did went out on Sunday night with Fahmy to "1 Nite Stand". Awesome band, awesome place, awesome crowd! Would love to go there again. If you wanna go with me, just holler! I bought Sims 2 University expansion pack and its not working! I cannot install that motherf*cker! I spent a bomb on it and till now I cannot play it! What the f*ck is up with my b*tch! To the excitement of some, my entry today has no pictures. I've kept my cam-whoring addiction in complete control, ok. I deserve an award here! Labels: friends, funny, games, nightlife, sick

Life of a door bitch
Last night... MAP Award Presentation for the SEA Games medal winners @ Ministry of Sound. Yes, I know what you're thinking. FINALLY I got in! For free! *Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh*. My duty for the day is to be a door bitch (or something along that line).
There are a couple others who served as our entertainers. It can get very boring waiting for some action to happen. My door bitch #1 refused to make a fool of himself for my benefit. Therefore we found back up bitches to do the job. There are many who are willing to "serve" us! Nothing interesting happened during my duty hours. So looking forward to me being in there where all the action is! I have peeps reserving seats for me already so all that's left is for me to stock up on my poison before the official bar close! We moved around the place... from Club 54, to the main arena, to the R&B spot. No matter where you are, its always very very crowded. Except for the ladies room. Very nice toilet I must say. Wondering how much they had invested in that place.
Then Fida started to get really HOT! Too darn hot... I started landing my head on anything... anything... I wasn't high. Seriously I was tired. I wasn't feeling too good that day to start off with and I left the rest of my lozenges in my bag which is in the baggage area. I ran out of drinks... losing my voice and I might have lost my sanity a little... God knows! These are the few conversation I rememebered in my very "HOT" state. "Damn girl, do you know that you're hot?" - I laughed in his face "I don't think I've met you before" - I introduced myself and we ended dancing a wee bit too close. But its alright, I saw him having a bit of a fascination with another jiggy master on the dancefloor. Yup, a bisexual maybe? "Hey, how you doin'?" - I wanted to turn and ask if he's a big fan of FRIENDS like me too! "Are you alright? You wanna go to the toilet?" - Do I look constipated when I'm tired? "Don't bother about him... enjoy yourself!" - Don't bother about who now? I also recalled some parts where people kept touching my face when I told them I'm hot. I knew I did made some of my colleagues touched my cheeks but those are the intentional ones... There was also one point I felt someone running ice cube on my body. Like WTF! Is it some trick guys use to make the ladies horny? Sheesh! Anyway, I will let the photos do the talking. You might be able to catch snippets of it on Girls Gone Wild, Singapore Edition(Bigger, Longer & Uncut) in mid 2006. No worries, everyone had their clothes on till the end of the show! Hahaha... So who wants to party with me now? Labels: friends, happiness, nightlife, vainpot, work

Ministry of Suckers!
Siti got an sms invite to attend Ministry of Sound's grand opening last night. We reached Clarke Quay around 9 and we cut queued my colleague who were there earlier. We stood in the queue fore 1.5 hours and the queue hadn't seem to move much! So pissed I dragged my tired ass out of the queue and head to Gotham. I've heard so much about it and I thought there's no harm trying it tonight. Friday Night is Vodkalicious Night. Free flow of Smirnoff for ladies till 1am. Good stuff. Had a little too much in there, stumbled out of the club frantically for 'fresh air'. Oh yeah, one of the bouncer is a guy I've had a crush on for years. Can't talk to him... dun think he remembers me... ![]() I got the guy from Singnet to come to my place to fix the modem problem. Turns out the problem wasn't anywhere in my home. Its somewhere in the main controls and he had spent more than an hour fixing the mess! Well... good news everyone, you will not see me in and out and in again whether in MSN, mIRC or whatsoever... I'm "healed"! I do not like it when people throw up on me. Labels: friends, nightlife, rant

Where did my weekend go?
I had a very hectic weekend. So hectic I don't feel like going to work on Monday. Ermm... I never felt like going to work on most days! Well, Saturday night was fun. Went to Rouge with some colleagues and friends. The music and concept is so much similar to Phuture. Drinks were cheap that night. Not too crowded therefore I wasn't that uncomfortable. I stopped clubbing/pubbing because I find myself getting annoyed by crowds, or rather, the wrong type of crowds. I have to pick the nite spots I'm going for very carefully not too young to meet the requirement and worst, TOO OLD! Click here for the pictures. Spent the whole of Sunday at home. Pretty relaxing you say? Well, good thing I have HBO. It made me feel like I'm at the cinema without having to dress up, or even shower. I caught I Am Sam last night (Yes I AM a crybaby). Its awesome. It goes pretty slow but you have no idea how many times I cried that night. I mean its really touching to see a retard gave his one and only young daughter everything he could give just to make her happy. Society doesn't agree with the idea but really, what's wrong with a father-daughter relationship? Just because he's mentally disabled he's not capable to love and care for someone else? Thumbs up for Sean Penn and Michelle Phiffer, she's so radiant in that movie. She's aging very gracefully :-)Oh yeah I manage to catch MTV Video Music Awards 2004, nothing brilliant. Its all the same, year in year out. Congrats to all winners and Mr Raymond Usher, if you happen to read this (I hoping you would, really), I would like to tell you how hot you look that night! Like wow! You've grown... aawww Snapping into reality, I am so bored at work I am practically pre-writing my blog entry hours before even posting them. Still thinking about Usher though... he's hot isn't he?

I had an awesome experience last night with my girl, Rachel. She's an intern in The New Paper and she had to a write up about the clubs/pubs around Boat Quay and Circular Road. Very interesting topic and we meet equally interesting people too. We mostly talk to the Managers and most of them are willing to leak information about their weekly takings and their selling strategy. Apart from the boastings and the trashings I heard, some of the managers offered us drinks! I had quite a bit but not enough to get me go WOHOOOHOOOOO!! Before all that party, I checked out MDIS for their Diploma courses and the fees of course. Its gonna burn a hole in my pocket but I might want to consider. Rachel was telling me that I did help her quite a bit during the interview. She said I will be doing a lot of that if I were to go for that course. Work was terrible. I couldn't help but yawn whenever I looked at the computer screen! The glare guard hasn't been much of help at all! One bad habit of mine, if I'm trying to keep myself awake, I'll start playing with my hair. My hairdresser always tell me never touch your hair unneccessarily cos' that'll speed up the oil build up. Yes, I have oily hair! Labels: friends, nightlife, rant, vainpot, work

Thou shalt not judge me
Am I a good speaker or a good listener? Seriously I prefer to listen. I get verbal pretty unneccessarily but often perks up the whole convo. Anyway I can't stand people telling me to "write more", "say more" or "do more" when I prefer not to. Its not that I'm evil or I dun like you but rather I am better of not saying much. What do you expect me to say about someone I meet like once in 2-3 years? I may not write/talk/do stuff up to your expectation but I am who I am. If you think by letting everyone know I dun write/talk/do enough, will that change me? I dun think so bitch. If you think I'm such a terrible person then f*u*c*k off... Go away if you think I ain't worth your time. I am not just a nother name in your worthless, little black book! I can't wait for the end of the week where I won't have to go to work on Thursday and Friday! Hehehe... Chinese New Year celebration and we're granted a half day on Wednesday also. I'd probably go out have a nice little dinner with Fahmy. Something we've not done in a while. Also I have to get in touch with Rizal to celebrate a very belated birthday! Sorry boy... we're busy :-) Oh did I tell you I went to China Jump last Thursday? Jive Talking was there - I think they're Singapore's very well-known pub band that I can think of. Anyway the food there's alright although a littlt pricey but service a little f*u*c*k*e*d up... hehehe Had a long night too on Friday. Came home only about 4am on Saturday. Hang out with the guys and talk cock till the morning. Pretty refreshing after hanging out with the girls for a few days. Yes girls, I ain't used to hanging out with people of my gender no more hehehe... help me get used to talking about lingerie, make-ups, diets, boys and sex~ LOL! Work's alright, early in the morning my senior supervisor had to piss me off. Apart from that I finally get to have my favourite Ice Milo for breakfast... urgh now I'm hungry!
