Truly a sight for sore eyes

I cannot even begin to relate to you how my whole week has been but I'll give it a go anyway.

So, the eye infection was worse than I thought. I developed corneal ulcer (again!!) on the same eye (right). So, since I've had it before, I knew the drill by hard. Multiple visits to the specialist, sleepless nights, half hourly to hourly eye drops and of course, the horrendous swelling of my good ol' eye. Only this time round I did not get warded as it hasn't reached the super critical stage yet.

So you think there's nothing interesting happening in my life since I'm either at the hospital or home right? WRONG! On Wednesday I finished my appointment early in the morning and as I was walking along the sidewalk from the hospital leading towards the main road, I heard a loud bang.

I looked at the traffic junction ahead of me and saw what appears to be a collision between a bike and a van. Worse part is that I saw the rider being flung in an upwards direction; he flew higher than the van; before taking a hard land on the tarred ground. I wanted to call for help but like 5 of the passerby were already on it. So, not knowing how to react, I continued walking but my eye still glued on the scene.

I saw a young man. Maybe he passed out from the impact. But I wasn't too sure about that when blood started flowing profusely. It formed a pretty large pool of red schtuff. True enough it was too much for my gut and I flee the scene to the nearest bus stop and hopped on the bus (thank God, its the right one).

Unfortunately the bus halted at the signal of the red lights so I stole one shot. Click on it if you want to see larger view. FYI the red lump on the ground, thats him. You see the ambulance, thats where I was standing, on the sidewalk of course.

Scary? Totally! I wished I had stay on and volunteer to be the eye-witness or something but seriously, I couldn't feel my legs and I swore I almost cried. I had no one to run for comfort... yeah, I know right! Below is the newspaper article related to that crash and FYI, only after I read this did I know that he was pronouced dead at the scene itself.

Al-Fatehah

I am a vegetarian

You believed that? I totally crossed my fingers when I said that. I tried, I really did. It doesn't help that I can't stand vegetables. On friday the whole department lunched out, vegetarian style @ some chinese buffet restaurant and they only serve vegetarian dishes. I wasn't looking forward to it at all and already scanning through other shops in case I'm still hungry from not eating anything.

A colleague told me on the way to that place that the more you eat (vegetarian food) the hungrier you will get. At that point it makes total sense as I don't consider vegetables as food, really! Since I don't eat vegetables, I whacked on stuff like mushrooms (of many kinds), baby corns, corns, pineapples and dessert was alright - I had mango pudding and some custard roll thingy.

I realised I had overfed myself with non-food the moment I got up from the seat. I was tucking my tummy in for a good 20mins as not to be mistaken as a 4mth preggo girl. Throughout the journey back I was forcing myself to burp - so did everyone else in the car (windows rolled down, by the way).

Of course, at that state, no one felt like working. Battling with the eyelids and a massive tummy just took a lot outta you. Unfortunately for me, I was battling racing with time when my tummy started to grumble oddly. Yup, I got the slurpee poo and I don't know why but I made myself belief that no meat in the gut means that the system in my body get to work really fast hence turning my lunch into poop in no time.

*shrugs* Maybe I'm not meant to be a vegetarian. I love meat too much... and why do vegetarian have mock meat? Isn't that cheating of sort? People, I am right on top of the food chain and I'm VERY happy there.

Top 10 Baby!!

No, I'm not on billboard charts, neither am I in the most wanted list. I clocked Top 10 most no. of hours in my company in August. Yup, me too, I never would think there's such a list. I'm on no. 5 with 172.15hrs. The top spot clocked 204.65hrs.

Nope... I ain't competing for the top spot. I have a life. I don't think I'll get any medal for this or any other reward for that matter. If I do, I'll BLOL (blogging and laughing out loud) like crazy!

On a more serious note, I went to the polyclinic this morning hoping to find the answer to why my period had been really weird this month and I paid S$8 to hear the doctor say "I don't know" when I asked her what's wrong with me. Actually I'm not really pissed at her. One major reason why I do not like to go to polyclinic is because of the patients there.

While waiting, I observe around me and I notice many of them barging in the consultation room when its not their turn and worse, when there's another patient in the room. My eye muscles on the verge of having spasm when luckily the led screen ding-donged my queue number.

Just before I manage to reach for the door knob, an old man tried to enter the room. I gave him the iciest glare I've ever given anyone before. Fearing for his life, he backed off.

Lesson learnt... do not go to polyclinics unless your GP decides to... erm... I CAN'T THINK OF AN EXCUSE! Just don't do it!

*faint*

For the past few weeks I have been working a lot. I realised I work 15hrs a day. I work when I'm in the office and I work when I'm at home. I'm physically and mentally tired but I cannot take official leave off work. I have to wait till like end of september or something before I can do that. I'm tired...

Last night I woke up in the wee hours coughing like a mad woman. I have no idea why but I had to sit up in order to breathe... and cough at the same time. Am I having asthma attack after 10yrs of not having one? Hmm...

I have 2 pairs of movie tickets... DOA: Dead or Alive and See No Evil. God knows when I'll be able to watch them! DOA will not be out till October and from the look of it, SNE will not be out so soon either. So the boyfriend will not be free to watch it with me, therefore, the other half of the ticket are still up for grabs. Of course, you hafta watch it with me, cos the tickets are mine... muahaha!!

I'm pissed the company kept rescheduling the Company Initiation Program (that's orientation in lay men's term) and I keep having to move the dates around. Should I get a PDA? Or should I stick with the good ol' organisers?

Going to Settler's Cafe again this Thursday. This time the good bunch will be going and I expect the fun meter to be up to the maximum level.

I want to plaaaaaaayyyy!!!

Decisions, decisions...

Bangkok or Genting Highlands?
I love them both and I have the budget for either one of them. But I have to choose!!! Time is running short... have to sleep on it for a couple of nights more :(

Free Movie
Gonna watch Firewall tomorrow. Hope its good, or at least interesting enuff to keep me awake. Its free anyway, so why not?

I'm bursting with yoo-hoo
As what my colleague call it, erm... "Bomb Japan Syndrome". Yes, after a lousy beer over the weekend, I've been bombing Japan every other hour. I dare say now that Japan has ceased to exist on earth. Next I'll bomb China!

Work
I have soooooo many things to learn and my manager is in Bangkok right now!!! Yes I'm green with envy but she's there for business. Hmmm... Khao San operates at night... AAAAAARRRRGGGGHH!!!

Photos...
.. I have many, yet to upload, why? cos I'm so bloody lazy... pfft!

Will update again soon... promise!

Back to work

Its Monday and I'm back from my "vacation". Not very happy and not very comfortable. The drugs I got from the doctor sorta caused some gastritis effect and I'm in pain right now. Left me no choice cos' I need those pills to prevent me from suffering the immense pain my ear caused. It used to be on the left side and now its on my right. Bloody hell! What did I do wrong? Is sleeping on my sides caused my ear to swell? Hmm...

Anyway I believed in making my "vacation" a fun one. Although I cannot really go out cos' I looked like shit when I'm "sick", so I stayed home and invented my own version of fun.

The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan
This movie is directed by Nathaniel Kahn, took us through the "documented" journey of Night's past. I quote from IMD, "This entire film was a mocumentary that was advertised as an unauthorized bio of reclusive director M. Night Shyamalan. After going so far as Shyamalan reporting to the press that he was upset about the release of this film, many fans and journalists became upset when they later learned it was all a hoax. The Sci-fi channel released an apology a few days before release for their campaign strategies." I believed this flick was a true story but on second thought, it could be another Blair Witch thingy. Most of the cast play as themselves. Johnny Depp's in there for God knows why!

Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen
A teenage girl is convinced that her home city revolves around her until her family packs up and moves to the suburbs, where she finds herself competing for attention. I don't really like Lindsay's acting here but Adam Garcia's in it! Hehehe... Adam plays the lead singer in the band "Sidarthur". Weird band I hafta say and he's drunk pretty much throughout his appearance and sober towards the end. I prefer his role in Coyote Ugly :(

This movie was launched somewhere or near to Lindsay's other movie, "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday". She was on a roll there and at the period we thought we had too much of her. She should have given it a rest. But that doesn't mean she could take a long break and record an album! Gee-whiz! Can't stand her!

Feeling Minnesota
A lot of people say this movie is too much like that of "Fargo". Not that I have seen it but hell, it was alright to me. Cameron Diaz was forced to marry this scum bag cos she stole like ten grand from that crook. On her wedding that Keanu came, since he's the brother of that scumbag. Cameron fell for Keanu (for obvious reason) and they tried escaping but that scumbag always manage to keep up with them. Its a messy movie, that's all I can say. Not fantastic, but bearable to watch till the end. Oh by the way, Feeling Minnesota's title was inspired by some lyrics in the Soundgarden song 'Outshined': "I just looked in the mirror/And things ain't looking so good/I'm looking California/And feeling Minnesota". Not that I've heard the song or anything... that's why it all worked out for me.

Cheaper by the Dozen
I love this movie and I cannot wait for HBO to play the sequel! Lindsay's rival played one of the dozen's and yes, Tom Welling is in it too *droooool*. The father, Steve Martin had to handle his 12 kids all by himself when the wifey had to travel the country to promote her book "Cheaper By The Dozen". If you think Lynette Scavo (from Desperate Housewives) is a hero in this field, wait till you watch this!

You might find one of his daughter looking a wee bit too familiar. Alyson Stoner, who played Sarah Baker, is actually one of Eminem's dancer in the video Just Lose It and 3 more times in Missy Elliot's videos! She was also doing some dancing bits in the "Suite Life of Zack & Cody" (you may not have seen this if you don't have Disney Chanel). She's so adorable and of course, a child prodigy, IMHO. She's the next big thing, people!

D2: The Mighty Ducks
I'm a fan of those ducks! I can never get enuff of 'em. This sequel to me has better cast. There's Scott Whyte (the hottie from the Iceland team) and Mike Vitar (played Luis Mendoza, the speedy gonzalez)!

So let me tell you more about these 2 hotties. Why? Cos I feel like it!

They both came back in the Mighty Duck sequel, D3. Funny thing is that while Mike played the same role as he did in D2, Scott however, played this guy named Scott, an American. He's no longer played an Icelander! Hehe...

Get ready for this...

Ok, I have 2 long weekends. The first time was for the Chinese New Year Week and the 2nd one was for now. He he he... I was on MC on Thurs and Fri. Which means this week I only went to work on Wednesday! Am I sick? Hmmm...

Fidzah: How come you're at the clinic?
Fida: I have ear infection.
Fidzah: What the *&@#?
Fida: Ok, my turn to see doctor. (hang up the phone)

After consultation

Fida: I got 2 days MC
Fidzah: He gave you 2 days MC when you stepped into his room?
Fida: No lah, he dug my ear for a bit to check for... erm... stuff.
Fidzah: A lot of gold in there?
Fida: Not gold, DIAMONDS! *bling bling* Anyway I only asked for 1 day and he gave me 2 and Monday I still have to see him again... My doctor loves me...

She went nutz learning about my long weekend part deux and started hollering pitching, screechy stuff I don't quite comprehend.

So lets talk about my 1st long weekend. What did I do? Hmm... this may sound very geeky but I manage to caught up with my Sims 2. Its been a long time since I played, ok! So don't blame me if I spent day in day out in front of the PC screen.

I did went out on Sunday night with Fahmy to "1 Nite Stand". Awesome band, awesome place, awesome crowd! Would love to go there again. If you wanna go with me, just holler!

I bought Sims 2 University expansion pack and its not working! I cannot install that motherf*cker! I spent a bomb on it and till now I cannot play it! What the f*ck is up with my b*tch!

To the excitement of some, my entry today has no pictures. I've kept my cam-whoring addiction in complete control, ok. I deserve an award here!

Good morning....

Its a Monday... yes... the dreaded day of the week. I'm back in the office after 2 days absence plus the weekend and I feel rejuvenated (ya rite!). I'm free from the "Avian Bird Flu" but I'm still coughing a lil' and straining my voice is a no-no yet. When I visited the clinic, my doctor was sneezing like crazy. Her nose was all red and dripping. I felt like running out of the room at such a sight but I can't. I need the "holidays". After she cleared her nose she told me that she's allergic to the aircon there. Ermm... I'm sure there are cure/prevention for allergies and a doctor would have known that, right?

I stayed home for 4 days, enduring the horrible drilling noises in my house. Yes, we're going thru some upgrading works in my HOUSE! Its over now and I thought I could sleep in peace until my grandma screamed for me from the kitchen asking me to mop the floor. I checked the time and its only 8.30am! Like F**K! I need my beauty sleep! I feel unpretty right now *sob*.

Anyway, its a brand new week and 7 days more to go before I get my hands on my year long awaited BONUS! Grrr... it better be good this year or I'll eat grass again. Well, I hope this month I'm able to eat Grade A grass ;P

The morning after...

I think I'm having a hangover from last night. I wasn't expecting myself drowning in alcohol on my company's family day. I was at the bar for more than 6hrs! My God! What the hell happened to me? Hehehe... All my drinks were on the house though. Thank you to my good ol' friend Justin for all the booze and the submarines. Love 'em, love you, love myself last night. I've been sober long enuff. I think I really needed that last night. As for right now I shall stay sober till the end of the year, if ya know what I mean :-P

Selamat Hari Raya

Bye bye Ramadhan, hello Syawal... Its awkward on Syawal morning morning to wake up almost noon and able to EAT! Yes, the feeling of guilt when I put in food in my mouth feeling was intense. Why? Hmmm... Anyway I'm grateful for all the food I am able to savour on daily basis, especially on special occassions like this. But I am not grateful for the sore throat and the coughing and the headaches and the fever. That's so unnecessary! I had to request for plain water when the hosts' serving awesome, sweet sodas. Then everyone will go like "Oh are you on a diet?" True enuff I stopped asking for plain water and by 10pm last night, my coughing went NUTZ! I didn't had a good night rest because of the coughing. Now I learn something. Health comes before ego. Hehehe... Anyway yesterday was long and boring and most of the houses I went to, does not have grade A pineapple tarts.

Bad thing happens during the preparation for the festive season. I "broke" my darling digi cam on Wednesday. The snaps looked weird on preview. I dropped by Canon service centre on Friday and the man told me he had to replace the whole lens barrel that'll cost me $180 plus labour charge $60! The air was still for a while...

Me: What actually happened to my camera?
Him: The censor on the lens' not working anymore
Me: What spoils it?
Him: *thinking* Do you take outdoor shots?
Me: Yeah
Him: Maybe you overexposed the censor to the sun
Me: Oh (In my heart thinking, WHAT THE F**K!!!)

He was checking with me again if I really wanna get it repaired or if I want to get a new camera instead. I told him that my Canon Ixus V3's my baby and I will not let it die. He laughed and told me it'll be ready for collection end of this week. Where the hell am I gonna get the money by end of the week? Gosh! I hate myself for not knowing how to spend wisely. I need to hire a financial assistant. Hmmm... any takers?

Thank you Siti and Kym for the lovely Pasta and "Lump Juice". I missed hanging out with you psychos. Thank you Naura for agreeing to spend time with me. We had fun didn't we? Thank you to that Starbucks guy who's Kym's-younger-irritating-bro-who's-name-I-forgot, for screwing up my order which entitles me to another free drink. Thank you Asrena and Fidzah for the lovely dinner under the moonlight a.k.a at Lau Pa Sat, those chicken was hella good weren't they?

Alright, that pretty much sums up my week, last week. Till I have the USB wire to upload my photos... toodles!

Tribute to Mr.W32.Sasser.B.Worm...

Without you in my life, you have no idea how different my life would be. You hang around my personal computer for almost 2 days and prevented me from using the internet or doing anything else! Thank you for almost ruining my life.

Then, to my rescue, my hero, my darling, Fahmy, came to my aid. He heard me cry... he saw me bleed slowly and painfully from boredom... he thinks... "Dear... what if I lend you my PlayStation2?" And I was like "Uuhhhmmm...." Well no point saying anything then cos he knew me too bloody well! I headed down to Pasir Ris and got that huge box of heavenly mechanism I call "Sooo-weeeeet!".

Ah... you think the story ends with me living happily ever after? You thought wrong! I must have been too OD with the mixture of being in a state of depression+excitement=fever+sore throat! Ah ah not only that, later that day I lost my voice!

Trying not to focus too much on the virus infecting my physical self, I am having a sore thumb from all the games I'd played! I have Simpson's Hit & Run, Simpson's Skateboard, Tony Hawk Skateboard, Celebrity Deathmatch, Sega Tennis, Crazy Taxi and *Charlie's Angel. You can read more about the games here. Anyone who know of good game cheats website, please let me know, thank you...

I can't believe I actually came across this ad! Click here to see it for yourself. I am so afraid to have kids and all end up having their school projects done by someone else. Its MY MONEY for goodness sake!

Also, I really hate my office now! All the politics... oh my... worst, they're all ganging up against ME! I can't help but to keep reminding myself that I should never quit this job because I'm pissed at the people in the office! I love my job, seriously! I get all the satisfaction I need as soon as task after task got completed! There's gonna be another BITCHIN' session 2 months later.

I have some king of churning going on in my stomach this morning when I woke up. It is the worst since the churning starts yesterday morning. Went to see my GP and yes... 2 days off work! I hate diarrhea! They gave me pills that's basically made from CHARCOAL!

Perks of staying home...
1. I dun need to see faces of people who thinks I'm not doing anything at work... LOOK! I'm doing just that right now but better! I get to wear my boxers shorts!
2. I get to watch TV all day... I saw MTV Cribs and today they went to my Wilmer Valderama's house. Its too manigficent for someone his age...
3. I can sleep whenever
4. I save money
5. Eerr... I can't think of anymore...

Perks of going to work...
1. I get to see my friends! My so-called-kakis
2. I get to do something I like, my work
3. I get free aircon
4. I can eat non-home-cooked food
5. Eerr... I can't think of anymore... DAMN!

To summarise it all, I have an equal liking to both home and office, but, there's no better place than to be with the person you love...

Its Monday again!

Omigod.. I hate Mondays. I kinda like having a sore eyes... only my right eye. If it doesn't subside I'll see the doctor this evening. I hate sore eyes. Reminded me of those times I was in hospital diagnosed with Eye Ulcer. Yes ladies & gentleman, there is such a thing as that. Actually that was worst as compared to any other types of eye soreness. I was close to going blind (the left eye), funny as that was the period where Left Eye actually met with the fatal accident. I could have replaced her in the band! Damn... *LOL*

Working on a new layout for Fida Inc. But knowing me, I might just redo the whole thing over and over and over again... I cannot set my mind on things. Plus its hard to come out with something better than what I have right now.

Everyone's in a holiday mood but me. I am not gonna take any vacation leave, obviously I am not going anywhere, plus this is the best time to work when the office's pretty empty. I hope everyone's going on leave except for me! I wanna be the boss for a day... or two... *LOL*

Count down with me, will ya?

As of right now I've got 13hrs left to enjoy being 21. I'm turning 22 tomorrow. Nothing big like my other birthdays, just a simple celebration with people I care. I am not even in the mood to celebrate either. I'm gonna be old, hooray!

I'm still waiting for my Levi's jeans that Fahmy had purchased for me online. He paid quite a huge sum for them. Oh I hope that seller doesn't cheat on us! I thought of wearing them on my birthday...

I had a very heavy dinner last night at Beach Road (to those Singaporeans reading this, you may have already know what I would be eating there) and the whole night I couldn't sleep. My whole body's aching... like bloated but worse! They really hurt!

Taking a day off was a bad idea

I took a day off on Wednesday so that I could hit the beach for a long swim with my darling and my cousin without having to bump into huge crowds. It was fun! We had the whole stretch of the sandy beach to ourselves.

But something unfortunate happened... I had fever in the morning. It started with a slight flu the night before but when I woke up in the morning my temperature was 37.7C. Thanks to my company who gave away free digital thermometers to all staff!

Later in the afternoon my temperature went up to 38.5C and it stayed there til I reached home. I took 2 pills (its called Piriton - I ain't sure what's its for but I heard people talked about it before - dangerous I know...). It prescribed that a normal adult should take 1 pill per day. I took 2 and when I woke up in the morning my fever and flu disappeared!

I found out that Johann's birthday's in a few days time (May 19th). Hey Joe if you're reading this on your birthday I wish you happy 24th birthday and yes I did read Rose's journal! Hehehe... My darling's birthday's on June 7th... I have no idea what to get him. Yes Rose I do share your sentiments...
