Annual Report 2007

Well, if you had forgotten, I had scrapped the idea of having resolutions since last year. Mainly due to the fact that I never fulfiled them and I tend to not care about them at all.

But I did mention I wanted to pick up a new skill. Well...
  1. I can play a full song on my crummy ol' guitar
  2. I CAN make cupcakes, they're edible alright!
  3. Workwise, I did pick up a couple of new, useful skills *YAY*
So let's do a brief rekept for 2007. Honestly speaking, I've been very brief on my entries for this whole year. Sadly, my camera did not get that much abused from me this year.

I guess I did tried to do better in life and work. I remember having all this self-realisation, self-discover shitzz for a couple of months. I blame it on my quarter life crisis. For once I notice how much I've grown and I've also realised how precious time is.

Charly, the french fry, came down to Singapore again for his internship. I wished I had spent more time with him but I didn't. He was here for like 6mths and I met him like 2-3 times? pathetic eh? But that's more frequent than I meet my own folks, so...

Lindsay came and I met up with her for that one day... just one day! I will do better for your 2008 trip, I promise!

I met so many new people... like SO MANY! I made myself sit down and listen to them to really get to know them better before passing off judgement. Yeah, a whole different Fida coming your way. I'm still the same person really, just takes a much longer time to unleash the negativity now. Haha!

Am I happier now? I guess you can say so. But deep inside there's a tinge of sadness in me for the fact that I wish I could meet up with my present, long-time-no-see friends again to catch up on old times. Just having you in my phonebook is not enough... unless I've chosen to avoid you already? Muahaha!

Let's talk about vacations. I went to Phuket, Bangkok, Bintan and JB. That's like using my passport for 4 times! Like woah~ This has to be some kind of a record! Usually I travel like twice max.

Pricely possession of this year includes:
  1. Nintendo DS-Lite (pimped out version)
  2. Nokia E65
That's it? Wow! I guess I didn't spend as much as I used to! But then again, I made up for that in the travelling department.

I almost lost my PC but a good friend told me he'll fix it at no cost... just a Burger King meal! That was a close call but I'm glad he manage to salvage everything back. I have no clue what I'll do if I loose all the data inside! I should now consider investing in a Hard Disk Drive to backup all my data!

I did blogathon again this year and once again, I fell asleep for a bit. It was a lot more organised this year as I've had previous experiences. Haha. I didn't raise that much money but I'm glad I did my part to help the less fortunate. Should I look forward to Blogathon 2008? Meh... we'll see about that. It kinda gets a tad too old... we need fresh ideas people!

As I mentioned I won't be setting resolutions but on the other hand, I started new projects/hobbies.
  1. I Must Do This Daily - Project 365 Blog (Where I post a picture once a day from my mobile phone)
  2. Roll - Lomo/Holga blog (Yes I will be a proud owner of a Holga in a week's time. In the meantime I'll stick to my Action Sampler)
These are just the few I'm starting. I hope to keep myself more occupied in 2008 with all these projects, new and present, in hand. At the same time it gets my creative juice running... some of you may have noticed I've not designed my own template for a while.

So what's gonna happen in 2008? Settle down? Hmmm....

L33T-ing & Singing

L33T Launch Party: Nothing awesome, just networking session among mediawhores. I had to mend the front desk for the event at the 11th hour when I've already made plans to tryout this new Karaoke place in Chinatown. The event went pretty ok. I have no idea what's going on inside, but the place is lovely (read: butt absorbing seats). My area is right next to the table where they place all the drinks free for the guest. I think I had waaaaaay too much champagne that night. I love champagne. I can drink it like water!

Ten Dollar Club: Only $10 per head, free flow of drinks and they even throw in a bowl of sharkfin soup (not the original one) per person. The room's alright and the song selection's pretty good. The best part I guess for the price, I can adjust the room temperature when it gets cold/warm, no issues. Will I go back there again? OF COURSE! They don't have a website and for those interested to try it out, its on Smith Street, Chinatown. Its on the 2nd/3rd floor and the entrance is behind a makeshift foodstall called selling Peanut Soup (euwww!).

Check out the pictures!

A roof to call my own

Had a discussion with a colleague from Selangor, Malaysia about living cost difference in Singapore and Malaysia. One thing we could agree on its the cost of houses. If you've been following the real estate news you'll realise houses nowadays are gonna cost us even more than they do in the 90s and to don't expect to earn big like the yesteryears when selling your present home (unless of course you're residing on prime location).

So what happen now? Do you still wanna cramp 4 families into one home? No! The governmen wants you to reproduce but makes it hell for you to afford a house for you to start a new family in. I may be a lil dense in this topic but I heard many of my friends who bought a house is now legally indebted to the banks till the day they retire. Woah~ that's where all my parents money went to! Yup, bad news kid. One day you gotta bid goodbye to all the fun in life you've had before and think of ways to earn money via myspace to help your folks to pay for your education!

Should we start looking for aretirement home soon? LOL!

Who's ya daddy?

Referring to this article pertaining to our minister's annual income, it saddens me that when I look around I see my fellow citizen (otherwise known as the heartlanders) mostly breaking even with the monthly salary.
A Minister in Singapore gets an annual salary of $1.2 million. Our Prime Minister gets an annual salary of $1.9 million and our Minister Mentor gets $2.7 million a year as reported in our local press. Compared to our office bearers, the President of the United States of America gets only about an annual salary of nearly SGD $1 million. The Prime Minister of Canada gets paid annually about SGD $400,000. The Australian Prime Minister receives only an annual salary of about SGD $300,000. And the United Kingdom Prime Minister gets about SGD half a million dollars and Hong Kong Head of Government receives around SGD $600,000 annually.
Like HELLO! What are we trying to prove here? I'm sure the other ministers (or presidents) worked a hell lot harder than ours. Where's the equality here?

In another article, where they defends the salary formula, they compared incomes of professions like lawyers, doctors, accountants etc. Its not the issue at all here. I'm sure those people deserve every justified dollars and cents they earned.

I'm not politically well-versed but this is too absurb for street-minded citizen like myself. Is that where tax payers money goes to every year? How aout helping the citizen to be debt free maybe by lowering prices of home purchases, public transportation and maybe a proper salary adjustment/increment especially when it comes to annual bonuses?

Do they really need that much money? I'm sure a CEO of the biggest bank in the world knows how to tie the purse strings when it comes to personal/business expenditure. They are placed in whatever positions they are right now to help the country and its citizen. So what if they claim the government is trying to be more transparent? Your people are in debt 360 degrees (and I'm not referring to credit card bills etc). What are you doing to help them?

Its true what people say, you look at the poor and go...

Mouth: Oh poor thing...
Mind: What can I do to help?
Heart: Thank God that's not me!

After being in civil service for 6years, I came to terms to accept the fact that the job is an iron ricebowl EVEN FOR UNDERPERFORMERS depsite for what they claimed. Let me quote from here, about being in govt sector.
Q. The civil service is said to be an iron rice bowl where poor performers are tolerated. How true is this?

The Civil Service takes a tough stance on under-performers. Those who do not meet job expectations are counselled and given an opportunity to improve. If they fail to do so, they are asked to leave.

In recent years, an increasing number of government agencies have been recruiting staff on fixed term contracts. Only good officers are offered permanent positions subsequently.
I am using my own encounters and myself as a good example:
  1. In 6 years of my service there, not once is my performance ever good enough in their eyes and not once I got promoted
  2. If I am that bad, I should have gotten the boot on my 2nd or 3rd year max but yet, they keep my fat ass there for 6 years... I wonder why? Too good to let go?
  3. Underperformers manage to pass through probabation period because its more cost saving than to hire a new personnel!
My suggestion to please the citizen over this stoopid pay rise bullcrap:
  1. Hire foreign talents, they're cheaper and I'm sure the US ministers will be more than please to assume their role here with our ministers' salary in 2000
  2. Hire fresh blood since its too expensive already to keep our OLD ministers
  3. Give them that monetary boost if they agree reduce the GST, housing price, taxes, public transportation etc. What? They're here to serve the citizen, not the other way round, right?
  4. Ask them to join the private sector since they claimed they're just as good, they can demand as much salary they want after the compulsory probationary period we all go through.
I could go on and on here which really surprise me as I've NEVER blog about the government before ever! If I do get in trouble because of this post and they're throwing me behind bars, I'd like to say thank you to all my readers for erm, linking me to my blog, I wanna say I LOVE YOU to my family and Fahmy and he better not forget to visit me in jail!

SIGH!

Like me if you're pissed sign the petition here to stop them greeds!

Oh FYI, the old hill in front of my block was under renovation for the past 6 months or so and finally its completed. All they did was to replant the grass and grow new trees. Thank you tax payers for your contribution to my brand new hill!

Addicted to interruptions

**WARNING** Lengthy update in this entry.

So Lindsay was in town and we met up only once during her 2 weeks trip here. Unfortunately our schedule clash pretty badly. Suppose to see her off yesterday but I was caught up in something else and wouldn't be able to make it to the airport in time, unless I take the cab of course, which will cost me a hell lot more for the extra airport surcharge blah blah. So sorry Linz! I really want to be there. Maybe not really for you but for Popeye! I miss those damn chickies!

So the one and only time we met I had to drag her all the way out of town and in Toa Payoh Hub... feelin' heartlanders. I was already there during lunch hour with Clifford who wouldn't budge, refusing to go back to work. Haqiim and Lindsay join us an hour later and we continued to hung out there while waiting for Lianne to arrive. Clifford eventually made his exit, of course.

Oh yes, why are we there, of all places? Well, my colleague gave me 4 tickets to catch live show of Dancefloor (reality show alike 'So You Think You Can Dance'). It blows! But we had fun comparing the place from what it had looked like many years ago when I was very active in making my trips to Mediacorp. Anyway its a short cab journey and the fare was on Haqiim. So what the heck!

After wasting 2 hours (or 3 maybe?) watching something I swear I will never watch again ever, we rode the bus all the way to Harbourfront, since my friends doesn't know how to go home from that place. Lindsay, Haqiim and myself took the North East Line to Clarke Quay to 'escort' Lindsay to be reunited with her friend. Apparently Singapore already seemed foreign to her.

I also met up with Charly a few days later for dinner. It was nice. He's still the same old Charly. I wish him the best for his intership here and pray he will not come back. Too many annoying people in my life already, I can do without this one. Hehe... va te faire foutre!!

The company organised a chinese new year dinner held 5 mins (on foot) away from my place. The last time I was in that building was when I was still in Kindergarten... one of those mini-concerts the kids put up to make our parents clap, smile and be proud of what their kids had learnt from the school. It had changed sooooo much (like DOH!) from being just a multi purpose hall to a chinese restaurant... I think its a restaurant.

Food was served pretty late and I filled my very empty stomach with beer... cold beer. It kinda spoil the whole night cos' after that I felt really horrible. Went to the ladies and vomitted... beer. Just beer. Awesome part of the night was the lucky draw. Everyone walked away with something. No one left the place empty handed, unless they had forgotten to take the prize back with them. I won a bluetooth headset which I don't really need and exchanged it with a Microsoft webcam.

At that point I had aspired to be like the red paper clip fella who exchange something worthless until he got himself a house. I exchanged a $30-40 bluetooth headset with a $160 webcam. I went round the room to change with other expensive items and got turned down... hard. I even use the excuse of my new aspiration but to no avail. Damn it! I was aiming that 20 inch LCD monitor!

Walked home slowly while hugging my new webcam and the moment I reach home, I was... erm... crazy enough to start installing it while being irritated by the spinning room. It worked fine. Much better than my previous one. See my new webcam shot on your right. So now my old webcam is up for loan... till I broke my new one. Any takers? Haha!

And today... Santa dropped by and look what he had left me!

Droolz!~~~

That's it! My weekend is fully booked! No update till my review is out!

Weekend updates

Yeah... I met Fahmy, hungry, had lunch at Delifrance, Capitol Building, walk a bit, got tired, took a bus, end up in cineleisure, contemplating to go bowling or karaoke, end up at K-Box, went for member's special where I don't have to pay cover charges, just for drinks and the compulsory tid bits, we were given 5 hours to sing, felt like texting Rizal, he came down to join us all the way from Johor Bahru, Malaysia, we sang till we're pretty much hungry again, went down to Beach Road for dinner, had "tulang" (direct translation: bones, otherwise its a delicacy made famous by people here, see this entry), chit chat for a bit, went over to Tampines to hang out with Fahmy's friend, around 1am, we shifted to Pasir Ris for another round of not doing anything, hailed a cab, reached home around 3.30am, went to bed, do-nothing Saturday, got bored on Sunday, called Siti up for another 5 hours of karaoke-ing.... *phew* Let the photos do the talking.

Oh let me be the first to welcome a certain French boy who at this moment is making his way to my tiny island. Va te faire foutre!!

Pre-Christmas

[edit]Just to let you guys know I'm having a supder duper long weekend. I'm on MC for tuesday and wednesday and am clearing my leave on thursday and friday. Dun be hatin'![/edit]

Stuff happened before christmas and I've neglected to update about it. Why? Cos' its like a brand new habit I picked up from some people in my blogroll. Its contagious! Its deadly! Run people run!!

There's one Sunday, Fahmy and I met up and picked up the courage to try the all new junk food eateries, Superdogs. Not as super as I had thought it would have been in my head, but its alright. Chilli cheese dogs... nay!

And then this super couple met up again on another weekend, the eve of xmas eve, and end up in a place we both had enjoyed, a year ago with a few others who had just explored it for the first time. #1 Nite Stand had the best live band I've seen, Six In The City, but the crowd wasn't too favorable. So we left only to find ourselves in Ministry of Sound... sheesh. Sorry, no photos from in there, too lazy!

Still not quite gotten rid of my hangover, I flagged a cab and off we go to Aisha's place to celebrate her daughter's birthday. A house full of kids... good times!

Anyways, here's some graphics containing stuff I've gotten during the festive season.

Hmmm... that means I still owe them presents, YIKES! I dedicate this song to them then... HAHA! Hey, Xmas song ok! Good one also, kinda appropriate if you read the lyrics below *LOL*... enjoy! And a belated MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Oi! Oi!

Haji was a punk just like any other boy
And he never had no trouble until he started up his Oi band,
safe in the garage or singing in the tub.
Till Haji went to far and he plugged in at the pub

Twas a cold Christmas eve when Trevor and the skins
popped in for a pint and to nick a bag of crisps
Trevor liked the music but not the Unity
He unwound Haji's turban and knocked him to his knees

If god came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins-
but Oi to the world and everybody wins!"

Haji was a bloody mess, he ran out thru the crowd
he said "we'll meet again we are bloody yet unbowed"
Trevor called his bluff and told him where to meet
Christmas day on the roof down at 20 Oxford street

If god came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins-
but Oi to the world and everybody wins!"

On the roof with the nun chucks Trevor broke a lot of bones
But Haji had a sword like that guy on Indiana Jones

Police sirens wailing, a bloody dying man,
Haji was alone and abandoned by his band
Trevor was there fading and still so full of hate
when the skins left him there and went down the fire escape
Oi Oi

Then then Haji saw the north star shining more then ever
So he made a tourniquet from his turban saving Trevor
the repelled down the roof with the rest of the turban
and went back to the pub where they bought each other bourbon

If god came down on Christmas Day
I know exactly what he'd say
He'd say "Oi to the punks and Oi to the skins-
but Oi to the world and everybody wins!"

Oi Oi

New York New York

Ok I am asked to post these photos up so that the whole of Singapore can boycott against it. The restaurant called New York New York and the pic owner didn't really tell me where it is at. But I can assure you its in Singapore.

Apparently they will make you queue for hours if they know that the rest of your friend hadn't arrive yet without informing you. And you'll only realise so when you reach the front of the queue when the the signboard below stared ferociously at you.

Lesson learnt, do not go to this restaurant, or, you can make sure you arrive with all the intended party then queue up, or, tell your friends to not make you wait for hours. There... *shrugs*

What's red and white and....

... not allowed to complain?

The weather's hot, hot, hot! And the waiting game just crumbled my spirit to be there. The Frenchie however, really excited albeit the heat and has been very patiently waiting while playing with the Singapore flag and singing the 'national anthem' at the same time. He's more Snigaporean than I am, believe me!

We left about 8-ish to go grab us dinner. Waiting makes one hungry and angry.. grrr!

Let's make it short...

So, I had a spontaneous outing last night. Went out for a scrumtious Korean steamboat buffet and had a chill out session at The Loof. I hung out with people I met for the first time in my life. Maybe I can call them strangers, but not just any strangers. They're strangers from a strange land. I am please to introduce you to them...

Till I meet them again... friday night.

The nerves! ARGH!

I wanted to top up my ezLink card this evening and I was queueing like any other civilised people. I was next and there's a nerdy looking chinese lady sighing away behind me. An old couple were topping up theirs and God knows if its their first time cos they couldn't do it right for millions of time. I stepped up and realised they didn't quite comprehend what I was saying, I asked the lady behind me nicely to help explain what they were doing wrong.

Frustrated, she cut me and showed the old lady how to do it the right way by topping up HER card! Once she's done, she showed the receipt to the old lady in a manner like "See! Its easy." and left! The old couple looked at me in disbelieve ~ yeah like its my fault?

I stepped up to them and I showed her step by step how to do it. Turns out her problem is that she punched her pin number a tad too fast and the system couldn't catch up! Repeated the process like 3 times turns out her ATM card's the one giving her the problem.

She wanted to try another time so I SHOWED her again before she finally gave up! You should hear the soft bickering behind me. I wasn't too sure if they were referring to me or the old couple or the lady WHO CUT MY QUEUE! Grrr.....

I was so pissed... so pissed... I bumped into this guy I used to have a crush on!

What a day... what a day!

Hey what a weekend!

Since Christmas Eve's not a working day, everybody started to get in the spirit on Friday (23 Dec). I was greeted in the morning with presents on my desk! It really made my day. So suprising that some of the gifts came from someone I least expected. In a panic mode, I started shopping for presents for them during lunchtime. I took 2 hours! Hehe... no one cared if I'm back late cos' we're all in the holiday mood already. Hehe...

Met my baby on Christmas day. What better thing can I ask for on Christmas than to be with my love ones! We went to Raffles Place hoping to get to have dinner at Carl's Jr but its close. Not too sure if its because of Christmas or they dun operate on a non working day (since its in a business district and all). Disappointed, we walked around looking for a place to eat and settled for Burger King.

After dinner we went to our very first dating point somewhere in Boat Quay. Spent the whole night there. I had so much fun. Its been a long time since we met so that night meant a lot to me.

The office is sooooo darn quiet today. I think only 30% of us are here. Most of them went on vacation and clearing their off days. Lucky biatches! Looking forward to have a nice coffee/dinner with my other baby, Li Shan! Hehehe...

The last bit of moolahs...

I finally get to eat something in Little India in my whole life. Seriously... jokes aside. I went to Buffalo Road and there's this restaurant called Blue Diamond. Sounds sleazy... nothing blue about that place at all. One cosy coffeeshop-like with blind spot mirrors in various pillars. Good for us as we can spot our 'superstar' friends. The Briyani was awesome. The price is reasonable... I'll give it 4 stars!!

Take a good walk down to Bugis Market for a quick scan at the stalls, nothing that I fancy. While walking we planned where to chill and stuff. Somebody suggested Cafe Samar at Arab St. So we started walking again...

The sheesha price is pretty cheap compare to the other sheesha places in Arab St. I don't really favour their kind of cuisine, really. The names are weird and there's too much of mint, yoghurt and those 'gadgets' that doesn't sound like at all savoury. Others might have a different opinion though. Will I go back there again? Hmmm... only for sheesha, $14 is cheap!

Long n lengthy...

Last time I updated was like 10 days ago but you have no idea how much I have had gone thru in that 10 days. Lemme tell all of you the story...

10th Dec : I departed for Sofitel Palm Resort, Senai, Johor Bahru, Malaysia

That place was awesome. We got the ground floor rooms and my room had a view of the swimming pool. I thought mine was the worsst til I learnt that the others had the view of the golf course. Well, not really, more like the bushes. Hahaha..

What did I do when I was there? Hmmm... good food, awesome swimming pool, bowling, threw some darts, table tennis, OH! THE JACCUZZI AND THE SAUNA!!! Gosh... wish I could stay there forever. Also we had some teambuilding activities over at the olympic/wading pool. Good times....

11th Dec : Bye bye good life...
Most of them followed the tour bus back to Singapore but a couple of us called for a cab and made him drove us all the way to the city. Wish I had more money to splurge but its all good. I think we only reached Singapore around 10-ish.

14th Dec : Marche wit Mui Hong

Its her 1 yr anniversary after being baptised. Congrats... and boy, she can really eat!! At the same time managed to check out the Christmas deco in Orchard Road.

16th Dec : Had dinner with my Darling.
We went to Newton Hawker Centre and he made me eat a plate of Sambal Stingray all by myself. Its brutal but felt so good later on. So what if our breaths smells a lil fishy!! Good times...

17th Dec : Johor Bahru trip

More like a nightmare... in a good way. Chop off my long locks, turned blonde, so sooooo tired...

Boo-gie...

My first attempting to watch the Idols do their stuff and the first time I realised something had to be wrong. 75% of them were lousy! Tonight for the first time, I voted for this guy here not b'cos he's Malay like me but because he had wowwed me with Earth, Wind & Fire's September. I love that song and he did not ruined it! Singaporeans, if you feel the same way as me please vote for him - key in "8" and send to 43657 (IDOLS). Olinda was good also but if you wanna make me choose between a 'Mat' and a 'Butch', I think I'll go for the 'Mat'! Hahaha...

Something funny happened this morning. A Wushu coach called me to update her particulars. According to her she cannot speak English.
Me: Hello good morning
Her: Ah, XXX (my supervisor) blah blah blah?
Me: She's on MC. Can I help you?
Her: My English no good lah. Blah blah blah address change blah blah.
Me: Oh new house ah?
Her: Ah blah blah *gives her new address*
Me: Aiyah, you move 2 doors away ah? (Her door number only change!)
Her: *giggle* blah blah blah....
Me: Ok thank you
Her: blah blah

Anyway just in case any of you had not known yet, on Tuesday I celebrated my 2 years anniversary with Fahmy, the love of my life. But before I go into that, I have another great news that I had finally cut my hair. Well, not so much, just about slighty more than an inch. Better than nothing right?

Before I made my way to the saloon, we passed by a tattoo parlour which provides piercing services as well. Fahmy stopped and asked me if I want to pierce my navel. He knew I had always wanted to have one but he doesn't like the idea. I thought that would make me happy but unfortunately my heart started racing like mad and my face went pale. He was shocked to see me in that state and asked me why. I told him I was scared. He giggled and we continued our journey to the saloon.

We had dinner at the most romantic restaurant, or was it a cafe, in the whole of Singapore! Lovebirds out there, check out Beach Cabana at East Coast. Its somewhere near McDonalds and beside the inline skating rink. In my opinion, its better than Fish & Co. I would very much would like to recommend the Stingray dishes served with sambal. The whole night was blissful and looking forward to many many more anniversaries...

WARNING!!

I had an awesome week really. First of all I had met all my deadlines last week! I was rushing like mad and everything paid off. I applied for a half day on Wednesday and spent quality time with my 2 pals window shopping. My feet hurts like hell after the whole ordeal. I just remembered I'm not really a fan of extreme window shopping, especially when I'm out of the ker-chinggss.

Thursday passed like a breeze to me. I cleared some paperwork in the morning and about 11am a whole bunch of us went to celebrate Doreen's birthday in Michelle's room. There's cake cutting and opening of presents. It was fun. The birthday girl was glowing... oh yeah when she glows, I meant, her face turns pink.

Then aften lunch I went out of the office to make some delivery and had to follow the 'driver' around for a bit. By the time I reached the office, its about 5pm. At that moment I truly have no intention of lifting any of my finger to work. I am 100% fully exhaustive. I deserved a break! Oh yes, I met Fahmy after work. Went to his place and just hang out till its time for me to go. I had to say goodbye... its gonna be 2yrs soon we're together but I still can't seem to have enough of him!

I took another day of on friday to rejuvenate, relax, distress, chill by the beach of Sentosa. I was with another girlfriend who's intention was to suntan. I had intended to repel the sun. Therefore I had used up almost the whole bottle of sunblock! Well, not really, I was exaggerating!

How can I...?

I'm bumped! I have no idea how I'm gonna celebrate my 2nd yr anniversary with Fahmy. I have a lot in mind but I may not have the budget for it. Both of us have no passport for a romantic getaway. Last year we had done the cake thingy by the sea at night. I can't think of a much better plan this year.

Why don't I go someplace different to eat. I was thinking of China Jump for dinner and more... but then come to think of it that place will not be ideally romantic for my liking.

I thought of going for the omni theatre at the science centre. I thought one of the movie seems interesting... hmmm... ok its gonna be one of the options!

I'm still surfin' around for romantic spots to try this year. In the meantime if you have got some cool ideas to share, pls let me know....

My adventurous week

I went to Night Safari last night. Its dark, smelly but on the overall its lovely. I felt like I was really in a jungle amongst all the wildlife. Thank God they invented Tram ride otherwise I don't think I would wanna venture the area on foot at all! Its creepy and God knows what kind of beast could be lurking around without you noticing. You can view the photos here.

Ok last week I had me some retail therapy right? These were the items I had bought and they did not cost me more than $30 altogether!!

Oh yeah... lovely aren't they? Anyway I won't be broke for long cos tonight's my payday. Probably I won't shop so much cos this lady's got bills to pay!

It is because....

1. I am very busy with work
2. My PC's fucked up
3. Everyone's asking me out
4. I'm broke
5. I'm tired
6. I miss someone so much
7. I'm putting on more weight
8. Everythings starting to get routined
9. I never had enough sleep
10. I hate clubbing!

Oh man, after listed the reasons why I have not been blogging, I realised some of them shouldn't even be on the list but I type so cos' I just wanna whine! Hahaha. Anyway a lot had happened since the last time I blogged. But I'm just gonna summarised them all.

First and foremost, Lianne had left us, I guess she had left us all for good. I'm very happy for her. She's living my dreams, LOL. I wish I could come along but NO... I have to work, damn it!

Also I went for the Reggae Beach Splash Party at Fort Siloso, Sentosa. I guess its fucked up, but it could be the company I was with. Hard to say and it won't be fair for me to compare it to MTV Grind. OH I MISS MTV GRIND!!!

My ex classmate got married, but I choose not to snap any photos. Just realised why I avoid keeping touch with them. So why should I keep memories of them now right?

What else? Hmm.. Ok i'm officially a member of Fitness First as of 1st August and already I got myself a personal trainer. Well, everybody wants me! Hahaha...

Till then, leave me a message after the beep :-P

*BEEP*

Baybeats?

I was there for 2 days (Fri & Sat) and I should say those bands were pretty good. Unfortunately I have a habit to spot their flaws. Like some of them have limited variations in sounds/rhythm, inconsistency of the drummer, posers, too hype to please etc etc... nevertheless I had a blast, although I should say I felt really old when I'm there. I can safely say 75% of the crowd was made up of teens between 13-18yrs of age. I really felt old there!

My whole week was ok. I tried not to shop too much. I didn't... really! I managed to control myself. Went K-Box-Ing with Siti... for like 4 hrs! Its like a marathon for the both of us, anyways... till I feel like updating again...

The bridge goes under...

You think I am not affected by this news? You think? I am soooooo very affected. First of all thank the man above that the Nicoll Highway accident didn't happen while people from SSC about to head their way home between 5-6pm. Otherwise it could have been me in there between those rubbles. I know I am being paranoid but who know? Also the bus service... SBS has yet to update their site on the rerouting on the buses that takes me to work like 10, 16 and 608. Otherwise for the next 2-3yrs MAX I will have to walk all the way from Kallang MRT to my office. To anyone of my bosses or supervisors reading this entry, don't blame me if I were to come late every morning 'cos I need some time to adjust my morning route ;-P

The big bosses all were not in the office premises the whole day therefore, as they say, when the cats are gone, the mice come out to play! Hehehe... When we heard the news, some of my colleagues drove/cycle/jog to the scene to check its authencity. True enuff, our security guards had armed themselves with the all cyber digital cameras and they showed them to me!! Well, their shots looked alot better than those I saw in the news, thats for sure.

Rescue operations still in process and inspite of what some assumed, the explosion was not caused by terrorist sabotage. Sheesh, I thought this is something I will see happening in Iraq, Mexico, Russia or something. Never expect such an accident to happen here in Singapore!!

Gotta go, feeling very very confused...

Oh my...

Lets see... I had an incredible day on Friday. Spent like half a day with my darling and we did something a lil' different last night. Instead of the usual chilling and goofing around, we went to downtown east for like 3 hours of fun filled, exciting game of XBOX. We played like 3 games and boy was it awesome! We had a game of pro tennis, "Need for Speed" ala Fast & Furious and last but not least my favourite Homer Simpson game. I dun remember the name but hell was it funny! My target by April or May I will get me my very own PlayStation 2!

We had a sumptious yet cheap meal at one of those 24hrs coffeeshop and then decided to hang loose somewhere, which in the end, got us all covered with red ants. No kidding! I had the most. Even when I was on the train back there's still a couple of them still crawling around my arms, my bag and even my cellphone!! Poor babies...

Its Saturday and I'm all psyched for tonight's "event". (Gosh I still felt like the ants are still crawling around my legs. Speaking of freaking out). So anyone of you happen to hang around town and not knowing what to do, drop by Tanglin Mall for a good ol' shopping spree without feeling the hurtful pinch on your wallet. Our price varies from $1 to $5, well at least for me, yeah. So come on down! Spread the word I tell ya!

My very British name is
Amelia Chamberlain.
Take The Very British Name Generator today!
Created with Rum and Monkey's Name Generator Generator.

Work... not much for today... in fact I think I have nothing to do! Hahahaha... This always happen on a Saturday. Well, probably there's some adhoc stuff thrown on my plate, or maybe not *prays like damn hard* hehehe.

So far I've done pretty well handling 2 jobs a week. Daytime I'm in the office, after work I'm stuck in front of my PC at home doing some translation shit that pays God damn well! If I can get at least 5 assignments this month, I can get my PS2 in April! Whoopeeeeeeee....

American Idol? My ASS!!

I am sooooo disappointed with Season 3 of American Idol! There's no spark in any of the contestants. I wonder how the panel of judges chose them. The slut who flirts with Alan the model in the swimming pool got thru and its so freaking obvious she can't sing! There are so many from the group auditions, like scooter girl and such, should have deserve to make it to the final audition! I hope those people will get selected for the 'wildcard'.

Oh before I forget, if you're residing in Singapore, pls come down to Tanglin Mall tomorrow from 5pm onwards. There's going to be an awesome flea market! Everything goes at a very very low price. Unbelievable? Damn its true people! Most of the goods are 2nd hand so make your choice very very wisely :-)

I'm at home right now. I have a lot to do and think about today. I should be going out pretty soon. Had breakfast same time as my coleagues would. Hehehe... anyway I had figured this day will be fun. I am gonna have a long day tomorrow at work and Tanglin Mall. So... hmm, maybe you people can seek me out and help me boost some sales! Hehehe...

Oblivious to all...

I just realised that I have no liking to a lot of places here in Singapore. I hate the crowds here and not to mention the extreme humidity. Everything's so expensive here. I would love a place of my own but not till I get engaged/married, become an orphan, turn 35 or disowned by my parents... I'm halfway there!!!

I hung out with Lindsay and Syahrul yesterday till almost evening. I had a great time apart from the killer weather and the fact that Lindsay can't make up her mind what to buy. We talked most of the time, drinking Snapple at Spinelli ala San Fransisco... *LOL*

Fahmy's working last night and my guess is that he won't be waking up till like 7pm today. By the time, I'll be too comfortable to get my ass off my bed hehehe... We'd go out tomorrow, ok dear?

Since I have all the time in my hand I'd probably do my photo album. I mean I love Yahoo photos but I'd rather personalised it my own way... *hmph!*

To everyone reading this... If you do love me, leave a comment... I melancholy desire to be loved... *peace*
