Clumpy old nail polish no more!
Why is it whenever I get a new shade of polish it always seems to get clumpy after just a few uses? How can I make it last longer? Your nail color can last up to a year—two years even—if you keep it in the refrigerator. Refrigeration will extend the shelf life of a nail color by 50 percent at least. The other must for home-manicure fiends: Nail polish thinner. OPI makes one. Supernail makes one. Any polish manufacturer worth its acetone makes one. Go get one. And, when things get gloppy, add one to two drops—no more—and gently shake. One other nail tip, so to speak: Dark polishes thicken more quickly because they have more pigment. Ooh wee....
Pertaining to my previous post here, I've yet to introduce my new 'love' to you. Presenting Nokia E65... (the snazzier looking one) and I shall name it Britney, cos Paris is so last year and the skankiest hoe in Hollywood now is Ms. Spears! Hahaha... just kidding. I've not found a good name for it yet. ![]() In my humble opinion, this is like the fanciest phones I've ever owned. I am still learning how to use the phone. Lucky for me I've got a colleague or two using the same phone as moi, so I can refer to them like I would WikiPedia whenever I'm kinda stuck. One time, I couldn't save anyone's numbers cos' I dunno how... I know... I'm suck a N00B! And what happened to my 'Paris Hilton' you may ask? Bumping queue to the retirement home. Hello Ms Britney!
In case you guys didn't know, Brit-Brit piled on tons of weight especially after the birth of her 2nd child. BEFORE ![]() AFTER ![]() ![]() Star magazine is reporting that Britney Spears has gotten a ton of work done, maybe plastic surgery in Raleigh, to help get ready for her comeback. Gone to church, dabbled in bulimia and now heavy into light lipo. It's more a cooking session. You heard of Tomato Reduction? We're talking Britney Reduction. Shrinking her size 6 to size 2. Since surgery requires drugs, this addictive rehab alumna is - per Star magazine's current issue - into soybean anti-fat injections. Stuffing tofu up her tutu means Vegas, six weeks, 12 sessions, $130,000. Then she's on to BevHills doc Raj Kanodia, who reshaped Jennifer Aniston's and Ashley Simpson's noses and so shies from publicity that he actually spelled his name for me. Then she's getting rid of those crappy tattoos.Don't ask me why the New York Post is writing their articles like a shopping list because I couldn't tell you. They could replace everything they wrote with "magic" and it'd be just as interesting to me. Although this is clearly the best Britney Spears has looked in a long time. She's a celebrity for goodness sake... she can't look like that after giving birth... *LOL* Labels: vainpot

Fabia Cosmetics?
I'm a super colossal Ugly Betty freak and was working on charting a family tree for the Meade family when I notice a familiar face. Remember Fabia? The Cosmetic Designer? Meet Gina Gershon a.k.a Fabia... ![]() ![]() I'm not quite sure which is the before and after but I bet either way its fixable by any New York cosmetic surgery professional. Be it a face lift, neck lift, brow lift or forehead lift its all possible! For this I think theres no lifting involved. Looked more like stretching to me! So which look will you pick? Gena's or Fabia's? LOL Labels: vainpot

Spinners!
So I got a call from one of those telemarketing peeps and I was about to slam the receiver when I realise this is nothing like those annoying "sit in a presentation before collecting free gifts" sort so I'd give it a shot. Its a free makeover trial :P (I'm not gonna name the studio as I refuse to give them free publicity) I was punctual for my appointment and the receptionist made me wait another 20mins or so. I notice a bunch of peeps that came in after me were in the same time slot as I am. I thought they had enough staff to entertain that many but we're all made to wait. When it was my turn, the receptionist escorted me to clims the stairs, 3 floors up, and I find myself in a pretty decent looking studio. I was assigned to a make up artist and she did a good job basically, she will never pull something that I may not like without asking first. I can even have second thoughts and be a bitch about stuff, she;ll still gladly fix me up. Then it comes to the hair and I have no clue what I wanna do. She offered to neaten my rebonded hair and I thought it'll be fun to go curly. I wished her luck to work on my thick hair and she laughed. Once its done, I wasn't that excited about the hair. Maybe I'm not used to it, and I had problem styling it. She smiled and said "Trust me." In 2 mins, my hair is done and I felt like hugging her. She's the kind of person I wanna have around when I got a bad hair day! Make up done, hair done, photographer waiting for me in the back room. Scrawny middle age men barely spoke 2 words to me, took control of the whole shoot by I mean, they have to be more realistic, they randomly call people of all walks of life, not accepting walk-in requests, and their cheapest package is like S$2899! Like WTF! Pride... too much pride! And the photos... I get to choose 2 and they burn it in a CD (case not included, only for those who sign up) and its a raw files. I pissed them off a lil' more lying that I'm a designer and photoshop is my forte. I still remember the look on their face. ![]() ![]() Yes, its me, the designer, putting my editing skills to work, in 3 mins I came up with these. Watcha think? Labels: rant, vainpot, whatever

I want a new face...
My curiousity grew stronger after looking at the website about the nose job in the previous entry. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going under the knife but after watching so many episodes of "I Want A Famous Face", I wanna know more! Damn that show is addictive! LA's Revision Rhinoplasty Specialist has comprehensive information about rhinoplasty revision that one need to know before and after the precedure. You can browse the before and after photos to see how various surgeries help to make you, erm, make you look like whoever you want or just make yourself better looking.

Short-sighted hazard
Rose McGowan was in a car accident a few weeks ago and the accident pushed her glasses into her face, slicing into it. She was scared of scarring but found an excellent plastic surgeon. She says: I didn't realize I was hurt until I put my hand to my face and felt the flap of skin. My glasses had sliced me under my eye. I got the news from the New York Post Online. For any of you who happen to be in the same boat (in the same car more likely) please remember that your face can messed up anytime if McGowan is driving as she must be blind as a bat. In case you need one, you can check out Naples cosmetic surgeon, so start saving your money now.

While I was busy playing...
... I stumbled upon something interesting. I've been messing around with Wikimapia for a while but never thought of exploring places I wish I could visit myself. On the map I found the Bermuda Triangle, the Ghost Ship and the best one of all, I found Neverland Ranch! While I'm at it, I found out where Michael Jackson lives. Haha, there's plenty of vandalism on that map and Mr. MJ had a fair share of vandalism as well. I was referring to his messed up surgeries. Feelin' bored, I investigated further on this surgery and found a comprehensive website on Revision Rhinoplasty (which features pretty disturbing images by the way). So bad, I feel terrible for people who had went through with the surgery. This procedure is like an 'in case' surgery when things do go wrong after a nose surgery and no doubt this damage control procedure is required for at least 5-12% of patients who had went through the rhinoplasty. This specialist from Los Angeles Revision Rhinoplasty in Beverly Hills, CA, talks about how a person could prevent going through the gruesome revision surgery again and how important it is for your doctor to identify the risk involve in the precedure. You can view his 'masterpieces' a.k.a. the before and after images in the photo gallery (no cut up nose images present here, so for those with a weak heart, this link is safe for viewing). Wacko Jacko, if you're reading my blog, please visit the webpage and contact the medical center. Your nose is in need of a 'makeover'!

My indian shopkeeper
Last night, a nice Indian shopkeeper (mama shop) attended to me when I wanna make my purchase. While waiting for me to dig my wallet, he mentioned that I should get Ruffles chips cos' they're having a promotion where they'll knock off S$4 off cinema tickets. I wanted to get that sinful bag of chips. Not because I want to stuff calories into my tub o' lard form, but just to acknowledge that this is the first time he had tried to make a sale with me. We usually just exchange smiles or the usual "how much?". Unfortunately that day my wallet decide to disagree with the man. Tonight... I'll be back! I was browsing the net aimlessly and landed on a hair transplant website and I immediately thought of that indian man. Haha! I can, in one breathe, name all the people I know who is in need of this surgery. Most of them I know has hair thinning problem starting from the side of the crown receeding to the centre back leaving a tiny 'island in the centre front. Very Bruce Willis don't you think? If you can see it in a positively way, good for you, otherwise I might suggest you do something about it. Oh by the way, these people I have in mind are not over 35 years old yet! Unfortunately, women are not spared from this phenomenon. From the website I discovered treatments available for the ladies too. For women, the losing of hair is often very distressing. Most cases of hair loss in women are due to inherited female pattern balding, but medical conditions can also be involved, such as low thyroid levels, hormonal imbalances such as elevated testosterone, binge dieting, and pregnancy. Another cause of hair loss in women is the distortion of hair growth and scarring as a result of prior facial plastic surgery.I better start to be careful as lately I've been losing a lot of hair but I believe mine is because of poor diet and also my hair is screaming for a trim. Its ok... I've got plenty of hair to spare :P I believe these problems will be more common for those over the age of 45 maybe? The before-and-after photos are pretty gruesome... I'm kinda worried now... no, wait... I shouldn't... hmmm.... Labels: money, shopping, vainpot

Hardwarezone 8th Anniversary @ Zouk
5.30pm I was already at zouk. Roam around the empty space armed with a glass in my hand. Wondering wtf am I gonna do later in there. My dear colleagues will be dead busy entertaining the clients and the rest will be busy doind administrative stuff. Wtf am I gonna do? Aaron came to me with a bag of fake chips and claimed he can triple it in no time. I told him I do not know how to gamble and he dragged me to the casino area for a round of blackjack. I won that round and he looked at me in disbelieve. Aaron: You told me you do not know how to gamble! Me: I am good at blackjack but I've never played with chips. So we were stuck at the table for a good one hour before the dealer had to close the table for a 15mins break. I walked around looking for familiar faces with no agenda and hung around them for a bit until my tummy start rumbling and I dashed for the buffet tables. Hell break lose after I had my brief dinner. I hung around Clifford and helped to entertain his clients. They love me, I love them... KC: You love Alfa Romeo cars? Me: I love their spyder. KC: I love a woman who knows her car. Money well spent
Before I begin, PLEASE VISIT MY RENTER WEBBIE, lookie to your left... Reality Show fans especially. Hey ya'll! Its been a while since I blogged. I love blogging cos' it lets me express myself and a quick way to update everyone I know (who knew the existence of this webbie) that I am happy and at times when I am pissed. By the time I managed to meet them F2F (face to face), they knew what to do and what to talk to me about. I'm happy ya'll. I'm blogging with a smile on ma face. **Britney Spears/Red Neck mode off** I have photos to update but the silly 'ol fotopages site is down :(. I have many many pics of my new colleagues and of course, my new hair. Yerpz, I am very happy with my hair now. *CROSS FINGERS* No more bad hair day! My colleague gave me a pair of movie tickets on Friday at GV Plaza. Its for the movie called "Slither". Hmm... I met Salyza and Fidzah last week too. She wants to pass us her wedding invites. I kept complaining to her how sweet smelling her card was I dun have to wash my handbag anymore. It tickled my nose from time to time therefore I took a harsh decision to store the card far far away from my nose. Till your wedding day, I'm not letting that thingy out. Hmmph! While reminiscing our good 'ol school day, we manage to thought of how to find Fidzah a boyfriend. We're gonna start our 'mission' after fasting month and we even came up with a list! About 12-15 pts on what kind of man she's looking for. Yay! T'was fun! Till I update with photos... chow! Oh ya... before I forget... Temptations...
I am torn between these three perfumes. ![]() ![]() ![]() Let me give you a brief descriptions on them. Davidoff Coolwater has been my best friend for years. If I choose not to buy its perfume, I will make it a point to get its body lotion cos' it smells so darn awesome! I can choose to purchase it again since the one I have at home could probably last me another month. I've never bought Curious Britney Spears before but I'm a sucker for packaging. Its just so preeeeeeety and giiiirrrly! I like! The scent is good too. I'm very impressed indeed. Unlike Glow by J.Lo, this one definitely made it to by top 5 list. I bought True Star once last year because of my boyfriend. He thought that is exactly how Beyonce would smell like, no kidding. Amazingly I like how Beyonce smells. The scent is sweet, alluring and not overpowering. I miss this scent too! Other options I have includes my all time favourite, Elle by Giorgio Armani and Escada range. I'm pretty much open to suggestions but the best option will be for one with better freebies! Haha... good luck me ;P

Martini Garnish Buffett
It was a night of class and sophistication. Everybody's holding a glass of Dry Martini before the party begun. TOPSHOP had a line-up of new collection that screams "007". They led the way tot he entrance while the guest trailed along with an almost empty glass. ![]() ![]() ![]() Eeks! Hazel with 2 glasses of Dry Martini! The stick figures sashayed around the oh-so-tiny pub in (at least) a S$80-S$100 outfit while we ponder on what kind of martini we would want to order next. Hazel, my manager, bought a what I liked to call a Martini Credit Card. She had prepaid for 40 glasses of martinis and its worth S$80. That's like S$2 per glass! Unfortunately its only usable in Wong San's territory. Anyways her card came with a handout with pictures of the many martinis served in those bars and Lynn and myself sorta try to remember the names so as not to sound stoopid and keep ordering Lychee Martini. Fashion show ends and its time for some games. I got fingers pointing at me when asked for female volunteers so reluctantly I walked up to the centre of the stage waiting for some kind of shit to happen for the world to see me make a fool of myself. Fortunately its a simple game where I have to make my own martini called HSBC Desire. Yes, HSBC's like the sponsor or something. I have a pro-bartender to tell me what to do and he's like "You should add blah with blah, both full cup then lastly add blah but not too much cos when you drink it that way it'll be...". I stopped him halfway and said "Just tell me what to do when I need to do it. I dunno squat what you're saying". The judge came on stage and tasted the other guy's drink and then mine. I dunno why but I really wanted to win that time. True enuff, he liked my martini better. I was crushed when I didn't even get to taste my martini but they announced that I had won a S$200 Wong San voucher. Like WTF! Happy siak! Head down to Odeon Towers for another round of drinks and dinner at Roof. Good place, good ambience, good crowd... love it there. Thanks Lynn for recommending me that place and also the 30% discount. Love ya MUACKS! Phew... finally I update my blog with photos! Labels: cool, nightlife, vainpot, work

Life of a door bitch
Last night... MAP Award Presentation for the SEA Games medal winners @ Ministry of Sound. Yes, I know what you're thinking. FINALLY I got in! For free! *Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh*. My duty for the day is to be a door bitch (or something along that line).
There are a couple others who served as our entertainers. It can get very boring waiting for some action to happen. My door bitch #1 refused to make a fool of himself for my benefit. Therefore we found back up bitches to do the job. There are many who are willing to "serve" us! Nothing interesting happened during my duty hours. So looking forward to me being in there where all the action is! I have peeps reserving seats for me already so all that's left is for me to stock up on my poison before the official bar close! We moved around the place... from Club 54, to the main arena, to the R&B spot. No matter where you are, its always very very crowded. Except for the ladies room. Very nice toilet I must say. Wondering how much they had invested in that place.
Then Fida started to get really HOT! Too darn hot... I started landing my head on anything... anything... I wasn't high. Seriously I was tired. I wasn't feeling too good that day to start off with and I left the rest of my lozenges in my bag which is in the baggage area. I ran out of drinks... losing my voice and I might have lost my sanity a little... God knows! These are the few conversation I rememebered in my very "HOT" state. "Damn girl, do you know that you're hot?" - I laughed in his face "I don't think I've met you before" - I introduced myself and we ended dancing a wee bit too close. But its alright, I saw him having a bit of a fascination with another jiggy master on the dancefloor. Yup, a bisexual maybe? "Hey, how you doin'?" - I wanted to turn and ask if he's a big fan of FRIENDS like me too! "Are you alright? You wanna go to the toilet?" - Do I look constipated when I'm tired? "Don't bother about him... enjoy yourself!" - Don't bother about who now? I also recalled some parts where people kept touching my face when I told them I'm hot. I knew I did made some of my colleagues touched my cheeks but those are the intentional ones... There was also one point I felt someone running ice cube on my body. Like WTF! Is it some trick guys use to make the ladies horny? Sheesh! Anyway, I will let the photos do the talking. You might be able to catch snippets of it on Girls Gone Wild, Singapore Edition(Bigger, Longer & Uncut) in mid 2006. No worries, everyone had their clothes on till the end of the show! Hahaha... So who wants to party with me now? Labels: friends, happiness, nightlife, vainpot, work

It took me quite a while to get it done. What do you think? I've updated my photo album today... check it out 1. Mind Cafe, Prinsep St. 2. Bye Bye Lindsay 3. Same old brand new me
Someone had requested me to put this up before 2005 ends. Someone had been telling me that I looked different then and now. Then meaning 2002-2003, now meaning present. So I made this collage of me from 2002 to present, arranged in chronoligal order. click for bigger view, if you're blind, of course Spot the difference? Labels: vainpot

Hey what a weekend!
Since Christmas Eve's not a working day, everybody started to get in the spirit on Friday (23 Dec). I was greeted in the morning with presents on my desk! It really made my day. So suprising that some of the gifts came from someone I least expected. In a panic mode, I started shopping for presents for them during lunchtime. I took 2 hours! Hehe... no one cared if I'm back late cos' we're all in the holiday mood already. Hehe... ![]() More photos here Met my baby on Christmas day. What better thing can I ask for on Christmas than to be with my love ones! We went to Raffles Place hoping to get to have dinner at Carl's Jr but its close. Not too sure if its because of Christmas or they dun operate on a non working day (since its in a business district and all). Disappointed, we walked around looking for a place to eat and settled for Burger King. ![]() More photos here After dinner we went to our very first dating point somewhere in Boat Quay. Spent the whole night there. I had so much fun. Its been a long time since we met so that night meant a lot to me. The office is sooooo darn quiet today. I think only 30% of us are here. Most of them went on vacation and clearing their off days. Lucky biatches! Looking forward to have a nice coffee/dinner with my other baby, Li Shan! Hehehe... About my lunch hour
Yup, saved moolah today. There's suppose to be a workshop in the morning and it was cancelled. Unfortunately they didn't have time to cancel the food for tea breaks. So I am one happy camper in the office. ![]() Cam whoring had begun but strangely I didn't have that much of a mood to play around with it. I took these a few days back just to test its indoor shot capability. ![]() ![]() Yup you can see my messy bed in the background. Hey, this is the real thing! The REAL world! Haha... Went to Suntec City Carrefour at 1pm and start stocking up office snacks, toiletries and stuff like that. I spent $38 just like that! Oh, don't forget the free show! Cute ain't they? ![]() ![]() What to do... can't afford the mother of Ixus, I settled for the daughter. Meet my Ixus i5. I have not given it a name yet. Lemme think... hmmm... I shall call it Fida Junior! Haha... ![]() I have 2 weddings and a housewarming to attend this Sunday. Wish me luck cos they're all over Singapore. Yishun, Bedok and Jurong West NTI!
